• All natural hair colors are the result of two types of hair pigment. Both of these pigments are melanin types

• Hair grows everywhere on the external body

• Humans seem hairless not because of a lack of follicles but because of the predominance of vellus fibers which are thinner, shorter, and more transparent than terminal fibers
