Show # 2 Judge: Patricia ClarkThere will be a class offered for Veteran Dogs and a class for Veteran Bitches who are 7 years of age and overin Each Hound Breed/Variety with a selection of Best Veteran and Best of Opposite Sex to Best Veteran in eachbreed/variety following the judging of Best of Breed for that breed/variety. Neutered dogs and spayed bitches areeligible for competition in this Special Event. All Best Veteran in Breed/Variety Winners will then compete for Firstthrough Fourth placements in Veteran Group. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS AND BITCHES IN THESE CLASSESDO NOT COMPETE FOR BEST OF BREED.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian's recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal andexternal parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations

As a courtesy, the Show Chairperson, Assistant Show Chairperson, Sweepstakes Judges, nor any of theirhousehold members will not exhibit dogs, owned by them at these events. Co-owned dogs not living onthe property of the Show Chairperson or Assistant Show Chairperson will be allowed to exhibit.

National Owner-Handled SeriesRemember to check the box near the bottom of the entry form)

The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that arenot professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country.

All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirementsfor this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible the time of entry using the checkbox on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogsmust be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibitthe dog in this competition.

The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breedcompetition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.

! If the Best of Breed winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner HandledBest of Breed.

! If the Best of Breed winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Bestof Breed will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-HandledBest of Breed.

! If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed are both ineligible and Select Dog and SelectBitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligibleWinners Dog or Winners Bitch.

! If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handledexhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners.

! If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judgemay choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed.

*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professionalhandlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselvesas handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog.

A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basisor assisting a professional handler at the show or any time during the cluster/weekend. Currentassistants that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age & amateur statusrequirements) may participate in NOHS.

The Miscellaneous Classes for each breed shall be Puppy, Bred-by-Exhibitor and Open. These Classes shall bedivided by Sex. All class winners within a breed shall compete for Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Bestof Breed. Each of the Miscellaneous Class Best of Breed winners shall be eligible to compete for Best inMiscellaneous Class. There shall be no further competition for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class.

AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Numbers may beobtained from the American Kennel Club - PHONE: (919) 233-9767.

NOVICE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the showand who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards, with competition present in a NoviceClass at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show andwho have won three first place awards in a Novice CLass in a licensed or member show, with competitionpresent, in the Novice Class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements tocompete in the Open Class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited tocompeting in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completedthe requirements according to their records.

MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the dayof the show, and who have won the 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will beconsistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for thisclass are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries havealready closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Classto complete for the following year.

NOTICEJuniors with a dog also entered in another class offered at this show who substitute a dog not entered in this showmust remit the difference between Junior Showmanship Only and Junior Showmanshp as an Additional Class EntryFee. Juniors who have entered Junior Showmanship only who then substitute another dog will not be changeda further fee.

A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging.AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table,or ramp).

At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp through all levels of competition: GrandBasset Griffon Vendeen, and Norrbottenspets (Misc.).

At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition, the following breeds may be judged on the ground,a ramp, or on a table: Whippets,.

The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: BassetHounds, Cirneco dell’Etnas.

This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where aconformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner

Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offerGroup and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation to judge any breed.

In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option ofwithdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretionof the judge for the ramp optional breed

First in Hound Group. MONA MAYTAG MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY, a Tiffany Crystal Bowl donatedfrom the Estate of Mona Maytag by Eric Martin & Wendy Nicholls. This trophy is offered in the memory of MonaMaytag, through the Hudson River Valley Hound Association for competition at its Specialty only. It will remain withthe club until won three times by identical owners or co-owners not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutiveshows. The name of the winner for each year will be Engraved on a Small Plaque that will be placed on the WoodenBase of the Trophy. Rosette offered by the Hudson River Valley Hound Association. $300.00 Cash & Director'sChair with HRVHA Logo offered by Stephen Sipperly & Dominic Carota, Hallam Hounds.

Second in Hound Group. Rosette offered by the Hudson River Valley Hound Association. $200.00 Cash offeredby the Hudson River Valley Hound Association. Crystal Item offered by the Hudson River Valley Hound Association.

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES RULES - APPLIES TO ALL HOUND BREEDS AT THIS SHOWThe Sweepstakes is open to all Hound Breeds who are 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of theshow. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class. Sweepstakes will be judged priorto the Regular Classes. Indicate Sweepstakes and age division on the regular entry form under "Additional Classes".Entry fee is $24.00.

LOSS or DamageThe Club will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog exhibited whether the resultof an accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at these events is in thecare, custody and control of its owner and/or handler during the entire time the dog is on the eventgrounds. Do not leave any dog in closed vehicles.

The welfare of an exhibitor's child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understoodthat exhibitors will exercise control over their children on the event grounds. The Club is notresponsible for theft or damage to vehicles or personal property. The Event Committee will usedue care and diligence for the welfare of dogs, exhibitors and spectators but will not be responsiblefor or assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dog, exhibitor orspectator participating in the events or on the event grounds.

ATTENTION OVERNIGHT CAMPERSThe event grounds will be available to exhibitors and campers after 2:00 PM until 9:00 P.M. onSaturday.There is limited number of 20 amp electric hook-ups.Generators must be used for Air Conditioners. No water available for campers.We will be following State, County and Park rules to keep all safe!Fee for camping is $35 and will be collected when you arrive.Gates open at 6 am Sunday morning. Please follow directions for parking.

Handicapped Parking available only to those with a state issued sticker.No open fires are permitted.NO HANDBILLS OR FLYERS MAY BE PASSED OUT.No crates or grooming table under ring tent.The Putnam County Department of Health requires that all dogs be vaccinated against rabies.Proof of inoculation must be presented if requested.

The Club and its Superintendent caution all persons entering the show site and show groundsagainst all hazards which may exist, including, but not limited to: Condition of the site/grounds,parking/loading/unloading areas, entrances, floors and stairways, elevator and escalators, floorcoverings, walkways, tenting/canopies, electrical appliances, cords and fittings, exercise pens,and the presence of animals. All persons should take into consideration this is a sporting eventand dress, act and exercise caution appropriate for the activity involved. All persons entering theshow, the grounds, site and show areas for whatever purpose do so entirely at their own risk. Byvirtue of entering the show, the entrant has indicated their acceptance of the terms listed in thispremium list and assumes all risks involved.

ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may makesuch errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the publishedclosing date.

NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a doghas been processed, no refund will be made.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING.DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging

will be excused.JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible

for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-givingclub and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public addresssystem or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring whenrequired.

ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in theexercising ring.

CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be madein the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent to be advised at once. TheSuperintendent and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breedis over.

THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SUPERINTENDENT will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs andexhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune toeither dogs or exhibitors participating in this show.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and externalparasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. An administrative fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Recordand dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championshipsare unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from thedate of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided,then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., agedivision, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered doghas been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after thedate of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recordedin his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter14, Section 3.).

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed etrants.

HUDSON RIVER VALLEY HOUND ASSOCIATION COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCE PLAN

EVENT ATTENDEES VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

The following plan is designated at this time for HRVHA Dog Shows and subject to change. Failure to complycould subject the individual to being removed from the groundsand/or disciplinary action in accordance with AKCs Dealing with Misconduct booklet.

1) NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED. These shows are closed to the general public. This is a SHOW ANDGO SHOW. All attendees(officials, judges, stewards, exhibitors and all workers) are required to follow state,local and facility guidelines in effect at the time of the event.

2) EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. If you have been recently in the presence of a person who has either testedpositive for COVID-19 or has symptoms(cough, sneezing, fever) please stay home. If you are ill, feel unwell,coughing, sneezing, or running a temperature, please stay home. All attendees are expected to adhere to socialdistancing guidelines and are required to wear a face covering. MASKS ARE REQUIRED UNDER THE TENTS,RINGS AND VENDOR AREAS.

3) Please remember to bring personal face coverings, hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, etc. for your own personaluse.

4) Exhibitor and all participants should SANITIZE hands as frequently as possible.

5) WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SHOW AND GO PHILOSOPHY. To minimize the number of persons nearthe rings at any one time, be aware of and adhere to your scheduled times. Do not arrive at your designatedlocation more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and exit the area upon completion or yourparticipation. Each ring will have entrance and exit gates to cut down on traffic.

6) There will be no grooming tent/area provided.

7) MASKS MUST COVER MOUTH AND NOSE. If you cannot wear a face mask at all times at the show, stayhome. Mask wearing will be enforced.

8) NO CHAIRS ALLOWED RINGSIDE. No chairs allowed in any areas of show buildings except for officialsand event staff.

9) No fans allowed ringside.

SHOW CHAIRPERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE RULES DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONSAT THE TIME OF THE SHOW.

This show will be held in compliance with COVID-19 state and local public health guidelines. Grounds andhost club rules will be updated as the New York DOH releases new requirements .PLEASE BE PATIENT ANDUNDERSTANDING AS WE WORK TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL.

I understand that a valid entry requires my agreement to the guidelines set forth by Hudson River Valley HoundAssociation and the park and Rau, Inc.

I have read, understand and agree to the following rules and procedures set forth in this July 2021 dog show.

* To the best of my knowledge I do not have COVID - 19.* I have not been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 3 weeks.* I have had no symptoms(fever, cough, etc.) for 14 days or more.*I agree to wear a mask on the grounds at all times.* I agree to practice social distancing and frequent hand washing/sanitizing.* I understand that if I do not comply with these guidelines or refuse to comply I will be asked to leave the showand entry fees will be forfeited.

I am entering this show at my own volition and am responsible for my own health. Hudson River Valley HoundAssociation. Putnam County Park and Rau, Inc. are in no way liablefor any present or future COVID-19 infection incurred at any time by any person in attendance or not inattendance , before, during or after these shows.

I understand the COVID-19 virus is continually changing which means these guidelines may adjust as needed.
