M2000
LMT
On LMT and M2000, you can get the information of downloading documentation packages of the
corresponding product version:
1. Get the documentation list
LMT: Choose Obtain Documentation List
M2000: Choose Help > Obtain
Documentation
2. Export .hdxi file
LMT: Click Export to export the .hdxi file.
M2000: Click Export Selected or Export All
to export the .hdxi file
3. Download the documentation
Double click the.hdxi file to download the
documentation to your HedEx Lite.
You can also search the documentation in
http://support.huawei.com according to the
documentation list, and then download them.

Overview of Feature Documentation Improvement
Improvement Benefit
New : NodeB Baseband Resource
Management
You can do NodeB baseband resource dimensioning and
configuration based on the provided principle and engineering
guidelines.
New: Add License Control Item Lists You can find the license control item ID/name mapping relationship with features.
Improved: Move Feature Activation Guide
to the "Engineering Guidelines" section of
feature parameter description
You can find one-stop engineering information in "Engineering
Guidelines" section.
Improved: Optimize the engineer guidelines
of 30+ feature parameter description,
including MOCN, IP RAN, HSDPA, HSUPA,
Load Control, etc.
You can find detailed guide of the requirements and information
to be collected before deployment, feature activation
observation and performance monitoring.
Move Feature Activation Guide to Feature Parameter
Description
VOC: Full E2E documentation for implementation of new feature (solution deployment guide with recommendation,
problems, MML commands and influence on the parameters, counters etc.)
Page 8
BSC6900 Product Documentation Feature Documentation
Action: Move Feature Activation Guide to the "Engineering Guidelines" section of FPD.
Benefit: The "Engineering Guidelines" section of FPD now provides one-stop engineering information.
New: NodeB Baseband Resource Management
Description:
Describe what are the baseband resources
and its consumption principles of NodeB, the
configuration of baseband board and the
engineering guidelines of NodeB baseband
resource.
Benefit:
This document enables customers to know the
principle of baseband resource dimensioning
and configuration.

Overview of Alarm Reference improvements
Improvement Benefit
New : Add (Alarm Reference) Introduction You can get the guide of using Alarm Reference.
New : Add Common Alarm Handling Actions
You can get common fault location methods and
troubleshooting methods which may extend your idea of
handling alarms.
New : Add Common methods of collecting fault information
You can collect fault information before contacting Huawei if the
alarm is not cleared.
New : Add flowcharts of handling procedure.
Improved: Optimize more detailed operation steps
Different users can find guidelines adapted to their levels:
Experienced maintenance engineer: can handle alarms by referring only to the alarm handling flowcharts or stem steps.
Newcomers: can handle alarms by referring to step-by-step instructions.
Improved: Separate the procedures for Remote Handling and Onsite Handling
New : Add Onsite Preparation before Onsite Handling
The engineers can know what spare parts and tools they
should carry for onsite handling.
Improved: Optimize the description of
Alarm Description section for RNC (TOP20) and NodeB (TOP35) alarms
You can get detailed information about the alarm, such as the
mechanism why the alarm reported, the impact to the network,
etc.

Separate the procedures for Remote
Handling and Onsite Handling
Optimize the description of Alarm Description
section
Note:
The optimization is for RNC (TOP20) and NodeB (TOP35) alarms.
TOP alarms are the ones reported with high frequency, and complex
to deal with.
