It provides the basic instructions for the disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment, as defined by EU directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). 1.0 Items Requiring Selective Treatment 1.1 Items listed below are classified as requiring selective treatment. 1.2 Enter the quantity of items contained within the product which require selective treatment in the right column, as applicable.     2.0 Tools Required List the type and size of the tools that would typically be used to disassemble the product to a point where components and materials requiring selective treatment can be removed. Tool Description Tool Size (if

    applicable) Standard Hand Tools Screwdriver T6/T8/T10 Pincette Pliers 3.0 Product Disassembly Process 3.1 List the basic steps that should typically be followed to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment:

    1. Open the top cover. Remove toner cartridge. 2. You can remove toner cartridge. 3. Open the right cover. 4. You can disassemble the PBA formatter/HVPS/SMPS. 5. Open the left cover. 6. Disassemble the rear cover/front cover/top cover. 7. You can disassemble the PBA-CP. 8. Disassemble the Fuser. 9. You can disassemble the Halogen lamp. 10. Disassemble the Inner cover. 11. Open the LSU cover 12. You can disassemble the LSU motor.

    1. Remove the left cover : Release the bottom tabs, and then remove the right cover.

    2. Remove the left cover : Release the bottom tabs, and then remove the left cover.

    3. Remove the rear cover : Remove three screws, and then remove the rear cover.

    4. Remove the top cover : Open the cartridge door. Release both jam levers from the cartridge door. Release the cartridge door from the top cover.

    5. Remove the top cover.

    6. Remove the front cover : Remove two screws, and then remove the front cover.

    7. Remove three screws, and then remove the fuser assembly.

    8. Remove two screws securing the LSU cover. Remove 2 screws securing the LSU cover. Disconnect the motor connector. And then, remove the LSU cover.

    9. Disconnect two flat flexible cables (FFCs). Remove three scerws.
