World History in Summer School There is an option for
students with impacted schedules and a 3.0 GPA to take this course during summer school.
IMPORTANT: Social Science courses (World History or US History) can only be taken ONE time during Summer School for original credit.
Fine Art electives do not count towards an impacted schedule

World Language
Spanish, and French are offered- no prerequisites are necessary.
Enrollment based on availability (more space is available in French)
2 years of World Language is required by the CSU/UC system

Academic Intervention
English Lab: For students who need to need to gain mastery of reading and comprehension skills necessary for successful completion of high school course work. Score of 1 or 2 on 8th grade SBAC Students who have scored below proficiency on
district ELA benchmarks (iCAL and/or District Performance Tasks) and teacher recommendation
Summer School Students planning to apply to a 4
year college should repeat any semester grades of D.
Students who earned an F should repeat those courses over the summer to meet graduation requirements
Be sure to indicate which course you need to repeat on your registration form under Summer School Plans

PE CORE is offered over the summer for one year, or 10 credits, only for ORIGINAL credit during summer school

Summer School Eligibility for Original Credit Classes: 3.0 GPA, first semester, 9th grade, AND academically “impacted” schedule next year
Impacted Schedules: students who wish to take 2 electives create an impacted schedule (Non-academic electives such as: Art, Ceramics, or Videography do not qualify as an impacted schedule)
Summer School Credit Recovery: Repeat course due to a grade of a D or F
