How to Conjugate the Present Tense of –er verbs

The first step is to remove the “er” from the end of the infinitive.

The next step is to add an ending, depending what the

subject is. Let’s use the “tú” form ending “-es”.

Yo -o nosotros -emos

Tú -es

Ud. Uds.

Él -e ellos -en

Ella ellas

Here’s another example. Let’s do the ellos form of the verb

“comprender”. Remember to first drop the “er” from the end of the

infinitive.

Now we add the ellos ending “-en”.
