PISMP TESL cohort 1/semester 5/Plays and Drama For Young Learners

Task instructions:

Individual:

1. Watch the Play carefully. 2. While you are watching, jot down your observations.

3. After the Play is over, you will have to reflect on adapting the Play for the ESL classroom, the suitability to be used with your targeted group of students and how you can include the teaching points in your ESL classroom.

Group:1. Each class has 3 groups (*6 in a group).

2. Using an adapted version of the Play that you have decided from your groups discussion, perform your adapted version for a 20-minute performance for ESL young learners.NOTE:

Use the same storyline from the Play you watched but you may have to adapt for the purpose of this performance. You may want to use the same ideas you picked up from the Play. You have to adapt to make it suitable for the teaching-learning process of your ESL classroom.
