These new houses have

been built well, to strict

regulations, to make sure

they are healthy to live in

This is an artists impression of the same town, which

has become an industrial city by 1900. Victoria is still

queen and Britain is still highly industrial, so the period

is still The Victorian period or The Industrial period. It

might look like little has changed since 1850, but there

are many changes you cannot see. The labels around the

picture tell you about them.
