Founding Philosophy
• Offer convenient housing: location & commuting to campus
• Create a high quality, safe and dynamic residential environment which supports students’ personal, social, and educational development
• Foster a sense of community within the residence• Allow for formal and informal student, faculty and
staff interaction• Support student responsibility in the development
and governing of residences
Our Mission
To establish the infrastructure and initiate the programs that best engage the residents of Sidney-
Pacific within the dormitory and MIT communities as friends, neighbors,
students, scholars, professionals, and citizens.

Board of Trustees Nominations
The Board of Trustees shall exercise the judicial powers of the Sidney-Pacific Graduate Community, administrate fair elections, act in an advisory capacity to the House Council,
and assume other duties as requested by the House Council.

HousingResidents with Renewable Housing Contracts
• New officers and 2nd year Senior Segues also participate• Renewed/Terminated contract by May 2nd
• Available rooms will be listed online by May 7th
– In-house moves MUST be completed by August 20th
• Submit online ballot with top 10 choices by May 11th
• Results posted by May 16th
Secondary room assignment process: late May / early June
• First-year residents who get re-assigned to S-P• 1st year Senior Segues

To kick off the new year…• Pacific Park Party
– Saturday, May 8th, 2:00pm – 5:00pm– An event for interaction between
students and neighborhood community residents. There will be snacks and soccer event.
– The event will be held in Pacific Street Park (84 Pacific Street).
– All officers encouraged to attend/volunteer!
To kick off the new year…• Trustees Open House
– Tuesday, May 11th, 8:00pm-9:00pm in the OWU room
– Come and speak to the Trustees about anything related to Sidney-Pacific.
– Ask questions or register comments about the government structure and policies - the Trustees will ensure your concerns are heard by the relevant parties.
– Find out what the government does and doesn't do. Learn what resources are available to you.
