IS A COLLECTIVE ORGANIZATION OF THE

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION’S (DOT)

OFFICE OF CIVIL RIGHTS FOR EIGHT STATES

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi,

North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

We do more than enforce compliance with federal and state laws and regulations that prohibit discrimination.

We also promote equal access and opportunity for customers, employees, and businesses participating in

the broad range of transportation-related programs that receive federal and/or state funding. This includes

providing business and technical training that improves the efficiency and capabilities of small businesses,

with the long-term goal of increasing their economic viability.

For 20 years, we have worked in partnership to create opportunities for historically underutilized businesses

to contract with the DOT and related organizations and enterprises. Because the DOT manages a wide

range of professional needs and locations, there are numerous ways for businesses like yours to engage the
