The spring rains stopped long enough for a group of enthusiastic club members from the New England
Region to get together in southern NH on an early May Saturday morning to catch up and get their prancing horses out for some much needed exercise. This event attracted a great mix of longtime members as well as several new members attending their first event. One had just joined the club the day before.
We started our day with delicious pastries and coffee from a local bakery as we toured HM Motor Works, a new shop in Southern NH that intends to bring a concierge level of service to its customers. The shop will focus on higher end European cars including Ferrari and Lamborghini. After the shop tour, we set out for a spirited drive through the beautiful NH countryside. Early spring, with the trees just starting to bud, provided us with views of the distant mountains and plentiful
lakes. It was an impressive parade of Ferrari models, plus a few additional marques, and I’m sure anyone lucky enough to see it going by would have been talking about it for the rest of the weekend.
Our drive ended at the LaBelle Winery in Bedford, NH where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The staff setup a private and cozy dining experience down in their wine cellar amongst the wine barrels and fermentation tanks.

T he Cappola’s kicked off their 2nd term with the Rhode Island Chapter hosting the 3rd annual social and dinner at Tavolo
Wine Bar & Tuscan Grille on Atwells Ave in Providence. Being a Saturday night, the city was bustling with activity and the weather cooperated enough for three members to brave the salt and sand with their Ferrari’s. A big thank you to Sherri & Leonard (Bianco 458), Erin & Chris (Rosso 308) and Sheri & John (Verde FF) for sharing the love
in a New England February, fantastic! The favorite dish of the evening was the swordfish special and ooh la la the meatballs continue to be a must try with every visit.
Lee presented members and guests with a host of activities planned for 2019, bringing us to the Newport Car Museum, the Heritage Museum and Gardens, a Drive In Movie theater, The Steel Yard, a Cape Cod bistro, many ‘o RI wineries and a regional scavenger hunt.
