OPERATION BBQ RELIEF.

Operation BBQ Relief is a 501C3 that was founded in May, 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri, a community of about 50,000 residents.

Competition BBQ teams from eight states answered the call to help feed displaced families, Police, Fire, National Guard

and other emergency personnel.

Since then Operation BBQ Relief has grown to over 7,500 volunteers that have a passion for helping people in their time of

need after disasters strike.

In 2018 Operation BBQ Relief had a banner year providing 1.2 Million Hot BBQ Meals in 9 Disasters, 9 States, over 69 Days.

There were many records set in 2018. In Wilmington in response to Hurricane Florance we partnered with The Salvation Army to

produce 324,000 Hot BBQ Meals. In response to Hurricane Michael in The Florida Pan Handle we partnered again with The

Salvation Army. We set up, cooked and distributed from two separate sites, Tallahassee and Panama City, to serve over

808,000 Hot BBQ Meals. This partnership allowed both organizations to provide more meals together then we could

have alone. Operation BBQ Relief served its 2 millionth meal in 2018 and for the first time ever served over a million meals in one

years time.

Operation BBQ Relief and its Volunteers were honored to be recognized in local, regional and national outlets for their work in

2018.

Operation BBQ Relief is a disaster response team made up of competition BBQ teams and volunteers.

We provide free hot BBQ meals to those whose lives have been affected by disasters across the United States. Donations are used to support active deployments and mission critical expenditures.

Since 2011 our volunteers and teams have been deployedfor over 317 Days in 25 States after 54 Disasters.
