Fellow Student Teacher Poster/Flier Website Family Letter/Email Other __________ Honors Program Information and Agreement: To be eligible for the Honors Achievement Scholarship the following criteria must be met at the beginning of the semester: Have a minimum cumulative, Maricopa Community College District wide GPA of 3.25 or higher. Have completed a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours with in the Maricopa Community College District (credits must be 100 level or above). Honors Achievement Award Requirements to receive the scholarship funds: Take a class for Honors credit - must be three (3) credit hours (or more). Class can be an Honors-Only class - OR - an Honors contract. Complete one (1) Co-Curricular Activity each semester. Once you are in your Honors-Only class - OR - your Honors contract has been received and approved; you will receive an invitation to join the MCC Honors Achievement Award 2019-2020 Canvas page. *Only students eligible to receive the Honors Achievement scholarship funds are required to complete a co-curricular activity. (See the Honors website for more information regarding Co-Curricular Activities.) Scholarship award amounts are based on the number of credit hours which the student completed during that Fall or Spring semester. Funds will be awarded at the conclusion of the semester, provided the student has satisfactorily completed their Honors Achievement Award Requirements. The scholarship award is a one-time semester award and cannot be combined with the Presidents’ Honors Scholarship. This will not affect your financial aid unless you have reached your limit on your award package. There are no scholarship funds available during the Summer sessions. Citizen/Legal Status (formerly Prop 300) Compliance Proposition 300, passed by Arizona voters in November 2006, stipulated that college students who are not legal United States citizens or who are without lawful immigration status must pay out-of-state tuition, and that persons who are not United States citizens and who are without lawful immigration status are not eligible for financial assistance using state money. Important Note Students who do not successfully meet all of the criteria will not be eligible to receive the Honors Achievement Scholarship. Students who have not been participating in the program for more than two (2) semesters must reapply to the program. To Graduate From the Honors Program students must complete the following: Complete a minimum of fifteen (15) credits of Honors credits (pass/fail credits excluded). Have a cumulative Maricopa County Community College District-Wide GPA of 3.50 or higher. Application to Graduate From the Honors Program is submitted to the Honors Office.
