Kristalia nasce nel 1994 dall'incontro fra alcuni giovani imprenditori con due passioni in comune: il design e il jazz. Eleganza e rigore, ricerca approfondita e freschezza creativa, sono fino dal principio i leit-motiv della produzione aziendale, dedicata a un pubblico raffinato ed esigente. Dalla fine degli anni '90, assestata la propria posizione sul mercato, cresciuta in Kristalia la voglia di sperimentare nuove strade: nell'immagine come nei prodotti, rappresentativi delle ultime tendenze del design italiano. Il logo si trasformato progressivamente, dal carattere classico degli esordi, ad uno pi moderno, fino al marchio di oggi (1). Il primo incontro fra Kristalia e lo Studio Bartoli Design avvenuto nel 2000 e ha dato inizio ad una collaborazione che continua nel tempo, a partire da uno dei prodotti di maggiore successo di Kristalia, sintesi della sua poetica interiore e della sua ricerca tecnologica: stiamo parlando del tavolo Sushi. Gi nel primo modello in scala, presentato da Bartoli Design allinizio del 2001, si riconosce lessenzialit assoluta di questo tavolo (1). Un concept stilistico e tecnologico che rimane assolutamente inconfondibile, nonostante le molte imitazioni. Lo si nota dal primo modello di Sushi alle sue innumerevoli varianti di colori, materiali e dimensioni: la versione pure-white, con piano e struttura nella stessa candida tonalit, per esprimere il minimalismo pi estremo, oppure i modelli creati con materiali e soluzioni specifiche per lutilizzo allaria aperta, con piano a doghe o intero, fino alle versioni custom realizzabili da Kristalia su richiesta del cliente, grazie alla versatilit del suo processo produttivo. Dallesperienza progettuale e tecnologica di Sushi sono inoltre nati molti altri modelli di successo, come il tavolo Nori, dalle gambe affilate che gli conferiscono unestetica particolarmente aggressiva. Kristalia and Bartoli Design first met in 2000. This encounter marked the beginning of a longstanding partnership, starting with one of the most successful products from Kristalia, which sums up its intrinsic poetic minimalism and technological research: the Sushi table. The first scale model, presented by Bartoli Design in early 2001, revealed the sheer simplicity of this table (1). Its stylistic and technological concept is still completely unmistakable, despite many later imitations. This was apparent from the very first Sushi table and from its many variations in colours, materials and measurements. These include an absolutely minimalist pure white version, with a top and a frame in the same pure white colour, versions with a slatted or normal top with materials and solutions specifically designed for outdoor use, as well as versions made by Kristalia according to customer specifications, thanks to its versatile production process. The design and technological experience of Sushi has led to many other successful products, such as the Nori table, with its sharp legs that give them an aggressive look. This partnership with Bartoli Design has been a real turning point for Kristalia, thanks to the in-depth experience and design culture of this team, a leader in Italian and international design. Backed by a tradition dating back to 1960, Bartoli Design collaborates with many leading companies in the furniture sector, offering its minimalist appeal and its expertise in implementing all aspects of planning: from initial sketches to product technical development and communication strategies. Its products have received several of the most prestigious international awards such as the Compasso DOro, and have been

Materialien und Mae: Die Version pure-white, mit Platte und Struktur im gleichen, leuchtend weien Farbton als Ausdruck einer auf die Spitze getriebenen Wesentlichkeit, oder jene Modelle, die aus speziellen Materialien und mit besonderen Lsungen mit durchgehender oder aus Leiste gefertigter Platte fr den Einsatz im Freien kreiert wurden, bis zu den Custom- Versionen, die dank der Vielseitigkeit des Produktionsprozesses von Kristalia ganz nach Wunsch des Kunden hergestellt werden knnen. Aus der planerischen und technologischen Erfahrung mit Sushi sind auerdem viele weitere erfolgreiche Modelle entstanden, wie der Tisch Nori mit seinen scharf geschnittenen Beinen, die ihm eine auergewhnlich angriffslustige sthetik verleihen. Fr Kristalia stellte die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Studio Bartoli Design eine wahrhafte Wende dar, dies auch dank der tief greifenden Erfahrung und Entwurfskultur dieses Teams, das einen Fixpunkt des italienischen und internationalen Designs verkrpert. Das traditionsreiche, im Jahr 1960 erffnete Studio Bartoli Design arbeitet nmlich mit zahlreichen fhrenden Einrichtungsunternehmen zusammen und vereint dabei eine auf Wesentlichkeit beruhende Poetik mit der Fhigkeit, alle Aspekte des Entwurfs zu realisieren: von der anfnglichen Skizze ber die technische Entwicklung des Produkts bis zu den Kommunikationsstrategien. Fr Kristalia stellte die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Studio Bartoli Design eine wahrhafte Wende dar, dies auch dank der tief greifenden Erfahrung und Entwurfskultur dieses Teams, das einen Fixpunkt des italienischen und internationalen Designs verkrpert. Das traditionsreiche, im Jahr 1960 erffnete Studio Bartoli Design arbeitet nmlich mit zahlreichen fhrenden Einrichtungsunternehmen zusammen und vereint dabei eine auf Wesentlichkeit beruhende Poetik mit der Fhigkeit, alle Aspekte des Entwurfs zu realisieren: von der anfnglichen Skizze ber die technische Entwicklung des Produkts bis zu den Kommunikationsstrategien. Eine Arbeit, die mit einigen der weltweit wichtigsten Auszeichnungen wie zum Beispiel dem Compasso dOro (Goldener Zirkel) prmiert und in den wichtigsten Ausstellungen der Welt aufgenommen wurde, vom MOMA in New York ber das Centre Pompidou in Paris bis zur Triennale in Mailand.

El primer encuentro entre Kristalia y el despacho Bartoli Design tuvo lugar en el ao 2000 y dio lugar a una colaboracin que contina en el tiempo a partir de uno de los productos de mayor xito de Kristalia, sntesis de su poesa interior y su investigacin tecnolgica: la mesa Sushi. Ya en el primer modelo a escala, presentado por Bartoli Design a principios de 2001, se reconoce la esencialidad absoluta de esta mesa (1). Un concepto estilstico y tecnolgico que sigue siendo completamente inconfundible, a pesar de sus muchas imitaciones. Se percibe en el primer modelo de Sushi y en sus innumerables variantes de colores, materiales y dimensiones: en la versin pure-white, con sobre y estructura en la misma cndida tonalidad para expresar el minimalismo ms extremo, en los modelos creados con materiales y soluciones especficas para el uso al aire libre, con sobre de listones o entero, o en las versiones personalizadas que Kristalia es capaz de realizar bajo pedido del cliente gracias a la versatilidad de su proceso productivo. De la experiencia de proyecto y tecnolgica de Sushi han nacido otros muchos modelos de gran xito, como la mesa Nori, cuyas patas afiladas ofrecen un aspecto esttico particularmente agresivo. Para Kristalia, la colaboracin con el despacho Bartoli Design ha representado una autntica revolucin, gracias a la profunda experiencia y a la cultura del proyecto de este equipo, punto de referencia del diseo italiano e internacional. Con la fuerza de una tradicin inaugurada en 1960, el despacho Bartoli Design colabora con numerosas empresas protagonistas del mundo del mueble, uniendo una poesa basada en la esencialidad a la capacidad de realizar todos los aspectos del proyecto: del croquis inicial al desarrollo tcnico del producto o las estrategias de comunicacin. Un trabajo premiado con algunos de los reconocimientos ms prestigiosos a nivel mundial, como el Comps de oro, y acogido en las exposiciones ms famosas del mundo,

del MOMA de Nueva york al Centre Pompidou de Pars o la Triennale de Miln.

C'est en 2000 qu'a eu lieu la premire rencontre entre Kristalia et le cabinet Bartoli Design; c'est elle qui a marqu le dbut d'une collaboration qui continue toujours et qui a commenc par la cration de l'un des produits Kristalia, exprimant la synthse de sa potique lie l'essentiel et de sa recherche technologique, ayant eu le plus de succs: c'est de la table Sushi que nous sommes en train de parler. Et c'est ds la ralisation de la premire maquette, prsente par Bartoli Design dbut 2001, que l'on a remarqu le caractre essentiel absolu de cette table (1).
