In 1972, Callanwolde was purchased with funds raised by concerned citizens and a matching government grant. Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is now operated and restored by the Callanwolde Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation. Funding is dependent upon private and corporate support, government grants, fundraisers, and the arts and education programs.
