Our Staff
Holy Cross Preschool is committed to providing childrenwith an educational, Christian-based program. The staff isdedicated to teaching children school-readiness and lifeskills through the daily schedule and activities they offer. The curriculum is based on educational and developmentaltheories and current research supporting the develop-ment of young children. Holy Cross bases their programon the belief that children learn through play, interactionwith others, modeled teaching approaches, and the oppor-tunity to make individual choices.
Allowing children the opportunity to investigate, experi-ment, and explore concepts while interacting with othersand participating in teacher-directed activities providesthem with a sense of individuality, spirituality, and friend-ship, while building on the development of the whole child.Children are provided a balanced amount of time toengage in structured and unstructured activities.Throughout the daily schedule they are able to participatein child and teacher-directed activities with daily lessonplans and the setup of the classroom environment.
The Word of God is integrated in all content areas(math, science, social studies, early writing, early literacy, and language), and developmental domains (adaptive, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive) to provide all chil-dren an equal opportunity for growth.
