Same Color Sympathy Cardsby Kristina WernerCard sizes: 4¼" x 5½" and 5½" x 4¼"

Prayers Coming Your Way Card (Hers)Instructions1. Create a top-folding card from

Marshmallow cardstock.

2. Lay medallion stamp next to your card as a guide, and mask off the top portion of your card leaving a strip of space to fit half of the stamped image along the bottom edge of your card.

3. Stamp medallion in Baja Breeze ink along bottom edge of card. Repeat across the bottom edge of the card.

4. Tape card to your work surface using washi tape to ensure that it doesn’t slip during this next step. Lay a transparent sheet over the stamped half-medallion row, lining up the top edge of the sheet with the top edge of your stamped images in order to mask them. Secure using washi tape.

5. Ink medallion stamp with So Saffron ink, and line up the stamp over the first Baja Breeze image. Stamp the image in So Saffron ink on both the cardstock and the transparent sheet, being careful not to let your stamp slide too much on the transparency. This will create a full image with Baja Breeze on the bottom half of the image and So Saffron on the top. Repeat for remaining images in the row. Remove the transparency.

7. Cut Marshmallow cardstock to 6½"” x 4½", and score down the center at 3-1/4”. Do not fold the card at this time.

11. Lay Pool piece on card, and fold along the score line to wrap the small flap around the back of the card. Adhere flap to back of card. This creates a large flap that opens up on the front of the card before the card itself can be opened.

12. Open the sentiment flap, and adhere Gold pinked strip to card so that the pinked edge can be seen beneath the sentiment flap when it’s closed.

13. Adhere card to 4¼" x 5½" panel of Pool cardstock. Round all four corners of panel using a Corner Chomper.

14. Adhere Gold cardstock letters to sentiment flap to spell “Dad”.

15. Adhere enamel heart to card using dimensional adhesive, placing it just to the side of the sentiment flap so the edge of the sentiment flap can tuck under the enamel heart and remain closed.

16. Draw a solid line around card on Pool panel using a white gel pen to create a white border.

Wrap Up

Metal Thank You Cardsby Jennifer McGuireCard sizes: 5½" x 4¼"

Metal Thank You Card (His)Instructions 1. Cut a self-adhesive metal sheet to 4" x 5¼".

Adhere metal panel to cardstock.

2. Die cut a talk bubble from the metal panel, flipping the panel over to die cut from the cardstock side in order to reverse the image.

3. Set the negative die cut aside. You’ll be using it on the Hers project.

4. Lay “Thanks” die on talk bubble die cut, and run through your die-cutting machine. Before you remove the greeting die, adhere a few strips of washi tape to the back (cardstock side) of the talk bubble die cut. This will hold your die-cut greeting in place so it looks as though it was engraved into the metal. Remove the die.

5. Create a top-folding, landscape-oriented card from a transparency. Adhere a long strip of art masking tape along the fold of the card.

6. Stamp thin stripe background in Cotton White StazOn ink on transparent card.

7. Die cut two talk bubbles from White cardstock. Adhere one talk bubble die cut to the back of the card and one inside the card (where you would right your message), directly over the talk bubble on the back of the card. (Note: The talk bubble die cut on the back of the card will hide the adhesive securing the die cut inside the card.)

8. Adhere metal talk bubble die cut.

9. Lay talk bubble die on Navy cardstock, and trace around the edge of the die. Cut out the talk bubble, and adhere to the back of the card front, directly behind the metal talk bubble die cut. (Note: The Navy talk bubble will serve as a mat, since it’s just slightly larger than the metal talk bubble.)

10. Stamp greeting in Navy Shadow ink on talk bubble die cut inside card.

11. Embellish card with star gems and metal dots.

Metal Thank You Card (Hers)Instructions 1. Tuck the metal talk bubble negative (window)

panel into an embossing folder, and run the folder and panel through a die-cutting machine to dry emboss the panel.

2. Adhere embossed talk bubble panel to a transparency.

3. Adhere a self-adhesive metal sheet to cardstock, and die cut “Thanks” and “You” from the layered metal sheet. Carefully remove the die-cut words from the dies. Cut the “s” from “Thanks”.

4. Run both die cut words through a sticker maker to apply adhesive to the back of the die cuts.

5. Adhere a thin strip of art masking tape over each greeting sticker to keep the letters from bending as you remove the sticker from the backing sheet.

6. Adhere greeting stickers to talk bubble panel, in the center of the talk bubble window. Remove the art masking tape.

7. Create a top-folding card from White cardstock.

8. Adhere talk bubble panel to White card using dimensional adhesive.
