Dear Brothers, Sisters and loving young friends,

Jai Shree Ram!

With the blessings of Maa Durga, the Chaitra Navratre in April, were celebrated with great devotion & enthusiasm in our

Mandir. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to you all, for making this possible, and coming forward in great

numbers to make these events a grand success. Every day, the devotees came to the temple to perform special Poojas

during these auspicious nine days and seek Blessings of Maa Bhagwati, and our Pandit Dinesh Kumar Ji performed these

rituals with great dedication.

However, the highlight was the Vishal Navratre Jagran by Bunty Bawa & Party from California. On the 9th of April, our

Hari Om Mandir was transformed into Vaishno Devi Durbar, as the whole atmosphere echoed with “Jai Mata Di”, ringing

Bells, Mata Ki colorful Chunris and Bunty Bawa’s soulful Bhents!!! I want to sincerely thank all my team members,

volunteers and devotees, who worked hard to organize such a wonderful program.

On April 17th, once again we remembered and paid homage to the Founder Members of HOM, who gave us this place to

carry forward the rich Hindu Culture & Traditions, away from our homeland. The occasion was the 28th Anniversary of

the Temple, and a special Havan was performed in memory of the departed souls. At the same time, prayers were also

done to grant strength to the current members to carry out the duties in the service of God & Community.

As we are fast approaching the bright sunny days of Summer, I am looking forward to some of the most awaited

functions of HOM – Mothers’ Day Luncheon, Fathers’ Day Family Fun Friday, Youth Night, Picnic As always, I trust, we all

shall once again get together, to organize and enjoy these programs collectively. Please keep sending in your valuable

suggestions, feedback and concerns.
