The new, unique Safe SET system eliminates the most time-consuming and most decisive step in achieving high load-bearing capacity – the cleaning of the hole before injection of the mortar. As a consequence, engineers can now have peace of mind – because the specified application will perform in the field just how it has been designed to do so in the plans.

No cleaning required. Set anchor rods reliably.The new Hilti HIT-Z rod with its cone-shaped helix works as a torque-controlled bonded anchor. This means that because of their shape, HIT-Z anchor rods are unsusceptible to uncleaned holes in dry or water-saturated concrete. The benefit is obvious: extremely high robustness and reliability. When a threaded rod is set in conventional injection adhesive mortar the load it’s capable of taking up may be very low if the hole is inadequately cleaned after drilling.
