That’s the message from Hills Shire Council after the Land and Environment Court gave the red light to a proposed brothel on Old Northern Rd – and residents are delighted. After a two-day onsite hearing, last Thursday senior commissioner Tim Moore ruled in favour of Hills Shire Council. A number of residents gave evidence ranging from fears about parking and the negative impact on nearby businesses. The building, at 26B Old Northern Rd, is opposite The Hills Club. Issues raised by the council during the hearing included proximity of the proposed brothel to places frequented by young people and incompatibility with the council’s vision for Baulkham Hills town centre.
