be one of the greatest hindrances to our Christian walk and ministry. The realization of this awesome truth must transform us both individually and corporately as a church.

Do we really know what Good Friday, Easter and Pente-cost mean? The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ mightily impacted that small band of early Be-lievers. After His resurrection, the Lord Jesus stayed on earth for forty days to prepare His disciples to receive the raw Pentecostal power of the Holy Spirit that trans-formed them into powerful witnesses who turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6). At Pentecost, the disci-ples were endued from on high to continue the work of the Lord through their lives. The disciple’s mission also becomes our mission. The secret of their success must also be ours! Discipleship is the human response to God's call for service revealed in the life, death, and

resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

So let our Easter “Alleluias” mingle with a greater infu-sion of that power that empowered the early disciples. This is the dynamic that the church and leadership in our generation desperately needs to know and person-ally experience!

In order to prepare us for what lies ahead, I would like to personally invite you to attend our 2014 Highland Leadership Conference at Douglaston Manor on Satur-day, May 31. This is the latest in our ongoing series of leadership training events, and is open to all members of Highland Church who want to be more effective leaders and witnesses for our Lord. Seating is limited, and past leadership seminars have sold out. Don’t miss out on this opportunity; register today! You will be blessed, and you will be equipped to bless others.

he death of Jesus Christ which we celebrate is like a grain of wheat that fell into the ground, died and brought forth much fruit. If a seed buried into the earth has such power of biologi-cal life in it that it can split slabs of stone, what

can the seed of The Lord's death do in each of our own lives? (Jn.12:24). The Resurrection of Jesus which we celebrate becomes our very justification that forever shatters the power of sin and death. The Pentecost that we celebrate is one of the most conclusive evidence that Christ through the Holy Spirit lives within believers in all of His resurrected and transforming power. And the same resurrected power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us to quicken and motivate our mortal bodies (Rom. 8:11). It is obvious that the vast majority of Christians believe in the power of the Resurrected Christ, but very few understand it in a way that translates into becoming effective disciples and leaders for God. Sadly, to ignore this powerful truth may prove to
