Higher Kinnerton Councillor Vacancy

Community Councilor Vacancy - HKCC would like to recruit a new community councillor for the ward of Higher Kinnerton. Its will be a two year tenure until all the council elec-tions in 2017. Over the last few years HKCC has changed, with younger members com-plementing the dedication and experience of the existing council. The result is a pro-gressive and hard working cohort with our communities interests at heart.

Recent achievements include BKV Awards, MRRG lease resolution, improved and additional park equipment, development of Bennett’s Lane corner, updated newsletter, a community based website and of course this facebook page and much more. The community charge has remained the same for four years now, so as you can guess, its all about the effort... interested???... If so, contact [email protected]. Or speak to one of the existing Cllrs for an informal chat.

Higher Kinnerton Cricket Club

Our third league game saw us gain our first win of the season. We had played two games and although we had not been outplayed we had lost both matches. Our inaugural game saw us lose to MPCC at the County Officers ground 72/10 against 73/3 and then we lost our first home match to Ellesmere Port Old Boys. Both teams scored 81 runs but we lost more wickets a aining the total and so lost the game. Our win was achieved at Boughton Hall against Chester Taverners, we scored 153/7 with our man of the match, Andy Spink, unbeaten on 50 and in reply the Taverners amassed 126/7. An excellent game played in great spirit. It's onwards and upwards from now on and our next game is at our home ground of Westminster Park against Handbridge. Anyone who would like to play or get involved or watch us play ring Jim on 660548, Miles on 661811 or Mike on 660974
