We approached Craig's Hut to the sound of a

helicopter and arrived in time to see it touch

down, delivering a bride, groom and

photographer for photo shoot at this iconic

    location.

On reviewing this image later at home I

was reminded of a drone pilot preparing

for take off. Quite a toy!

    TAGALONG TOUR TO CRAIGS HUT

Saturday evening: As the last rays of sun illuminated the

hut I realised that smoke from a 3,000 hectare fire at

Dargo was drifting 50 km north filling the valleys and

    promised a colourful sunset.

The north gate at Craig’s Hut provided a lovely view

    through to Mount Cobbler.

The post sunset twilight provided a lovely backdrop to this

shot looking down on the hut.

Sunday : As the first of the predawn light

illuminated the eastern sky I was reminded of the

name often given to Mt Cobbler. Indian Head

seems to be a particularly appropriate name for

    the skyline silhouette.

We were spoilt for photo opportunities with the

early light to the east, Mount Cobbler to the north

and Craig’s Hut to the west.

How did I get that shot looking down on the hut

    the previous evening?
