I can’t help but recommend this website again! I visited Greenwood’s fifth grade last
year as part of an author study—they read my books, asked me questions about the
writing process, and begin writing their own stories. The students were very excited
about Storybird! I know your students will be too!
You can read the stories for FREE on your SMARTboard or purchase your own
stories in electronic or hard copy formats*.

Important Dates to Remember
Don’t have enough time to write your
own story? No problem!
Through your Storybird account, you can
add other authors’ stories to your reading
list, including mine!
I’ve written 18 stories and all of them have
morals or life lessons. I have books for all
grade levels, so check them out. ☺

The anonymous bullying reporting system, or “Bully
Box,” is back! All WLS buildings are required to
implement this system of reporting to ensure that all
students have an opportunity to be heard.
While permitted for students K-6, the form itself is
more suited for students 3-6. Younger students may
use the form to report bullying or simply tell an adult.
A PowerPoint presentation is available that helps
explain how the Bully Box works. If you need another
copy, let me know.
Start thinking about your classroom - based counseling needs!
Whether you want 1 lesson per month to coincide with Washington Local’s core
values or 1 unit per school year, please consider utilizing my services. I am
extremely flexible and willing to construct my lesson(s) to your specific needs.
All you have to do is email me or drop by my office to schedule a topic, date, and
time. I would love to proactively work with your students!
Check out the “virtual tour” of my office on Prezi! http://prezi.com/vkyiazrkvfiz/a-tour-of-mrs-rexs-office/
You can have students watch this as a reminder of who
I am or what my office has to offer.
