Square Edge Boards

Joinery Grade provides a cost effective alternative to Prime,where light character features suit the production, or smallercomponents are being cut, therefore defects can easily beavoided. Available in a full range of thicknesses and selected to order or supplied by the pack.

Grade overview Largely clear straight grain planks including some knots in part of each board. The boards will mostly be clear from defect enabling clear joinery sections to be produced or sections cut which may contain sound defects to be turned to an unseen face or cut around. European Grade QF1/2x.

Air Dried stock is seasoned naturally to achieve a moisture content relative to the outdoor environment. This makesit well suited to external applications such as gates, exposedexternal doors and balustrades. Due to the gradual seasoning process, Air Dried can be produced in Prime Grade up to 200mm thick, providing unrivalled quality for such large sections.

Grade overview Prime Grade Air Dried Waney Edge boardsprovide cuttings to the equivalent of Square Edge PrimeGrade, although Air Dried timber often shows splitting across the timber surfaces as a result of the natural seasoning process. European Grade QB1A.

Special Selection

As specialists, it is our aim to be able to provide for every requirement in European Oak, whatever form this may take.

Our extensive stock holdings of Euro Oak in its various states and forms enable our staff to select special cuts such as quarter cut, crown cut, rift cut etc, or exceptionally wide or long requirements which arise.

The selection of such requirements does involve a considerable amount of extra staff time and effort and therefore when selecting special cuts/sizes...

...a 10% surcharge applies to standard prices.

We will always take into account the nature and value of the complete order.

Along with our selection service, we can also provide your timber sawn or machined exactly to your required sizes.The process involves our experienced mill team selecting suitable stock, picking the best matched boards to your requirements and then processing the timber through our sawing facility removing all edge waste, reducing the timber to required width.

The pieces are then checked for quality and, as required, either marked with the appropriate code or size, or planed to final dimensions. Pieces are generally left slightly over length to ensure a satisfactory final cut by the customer in the workshop / on site.

This results in minimal processing once the timber is delivered to you, providing a time efficient and therefore cost effective solution.

Seasoned Beams

Well suited to applications where movement must be kept to a minimum but the cost of joinery timber is not justified, or where an aged look is required. The beams are air dried in square sections for 1-3 years on average and can then be sawn to other sections as required. 100mm is the minimum thickness the beams can be sawn to while maintaining structural soundness.

Grade overview Ungraded production containing knots, sap content and other natural features. Drying splits and shakes develop during the seasoning period and can be quite substantial especially on larger sections.

Our original production, the Traditional floorboard is exactlywhat its name suggests: tongue and grooved on the twolong edges, leaving the ends for final trimming to anauthentic butt joint. Estrato Engineered Oak floorboards offer a quality alternative to a solid floor where increased stability is required, for instance over undefloor heating.

A square shouldered 6mm solid Oak layer will allow for repeated sanding and finishing to ensure longevity comparable to a solid floor. Available in a range of impressive widths, and long lengths, the boards can be mixed and finished to create an entirely genuine looking floor of your choice. No give away bevels or other signs of compromise.

EuroPEAn oAK

Flooring Accessories Sikabond t2 flooring adhesive

1 part flexible, gun applied adhesive, well suited to use with longer lengths of flooring or undulations in subfloor. Supplied in 300cc cartridges or 600cc sausages for larger applications. Sausage gun available for hire. Coverage approx. 1m2 per 300cc.

osmo Polyx hardwax flooring oil

The benchmark hardwax oil. Water repellant and dirt resistant. Clear finish available in either Satin or Ultra Matt for a very natural finish. 2 coat application. Coverage of approx 20m2 per litre per coat.

Bonatech Mega flooring laquer

100% Polyurethane laquer, providing a deep clear finish. High scuff resistance. Available in Matt/Satin/Gloss. 2-3 coat application. Coverage of approx 8-10m2 per litre per coat.

Powernail secret flooring nails

Superior quality barbed nails for use with hammer/power nailers to ‘secret nail’ flooring boards to joist/subfloor through the back of the tongue. Manual hammer nailer available for hire.

If you wish to collect from our yard we will be glad to prepare your order for you. Please place orders at least a day in advance, thus allowing us to keep to schedule and provide the best service we can.

Yard collections without prior arrangement command a 5% surcharge on all prices.

Our delivery vehicles serve a broad area on a regular basis.

When placing an order, our sales staff can advise you as to the earliest delivery date possible. This is usually: 2-3 days on selected orders, 4-5 days on sawn to size orders.

It is our aim to deliver all orders over £500 (inc VAT) free of charge. For orders under this value, or if you are far from our regular delivery routes, charges may apply. Our sales staff will advise any charges at quotation / order stage.
