For the first time, MANKAR ® Segment rotary nozzles are available in combination with weed sensors from Weedseeker ® : UNIMA-City and TRAMUS-City are two new units that have been developed especially for use in communal areas. The sensors in these units detect weed growth by means of infrared technol- ogy and trigger the targeted spraying process. The areas where weeds are not growing are not sprayed. In this manner, the amount of herbicide applied and the associated environmental impact is reduced to an even greater extent than with the MANKAR ® ULV spraying systems without sensors, so that, depending on weed problem, instead of 0.5 – 1 l/ha for sealed surfaces only approx. 0,25 - 1 l/ha Roundup ® (Glyphosate) is required. Both units are fitted with 4 segment rotary nozzles, which are well protected beneath a metal covering and cover a spraying width of 30 centimeters each. For the first time, MANKAR® Segment rotary nozzles are available in combination with weed sensors from Weedseeker®: UNIMA-City and TRAMUS-City are two new units that have been developed especially for use in communal areas.

The sensors in these units detect weed growth by means of infrared technol-ogy and trigger the targeted spraying process. The areas where weeds are not growing are not sprayed. In this manner, the amount of herbicide applied and the associated environmental impact is reduced to an even greater extent than with the MANKAR® ULV spraying systems without sensors, so that, depending on weed problem, instead of 0.5 – 1 l/ha for sealed surfaces only approx. 0,25 - 1 l/ha Roundup® (Glyphosate) is required.

Both units are fitted with 4 segment rotary nozzles, which are well protected beneath a metal covering and cover a spraying width of 30 centimeters each. The total spraying width equates to 120 cm, so that even large surface areas can be handled in a timesaving manner. The units are op-tionally available without sensors.

UNIMA-City is a front-mounted unit. Standard equipment in-cludes an adapter for mounting it onto a STIGA ride-on mower. It is mounted simply in place of the mower attachment. The STIGA is very manoeuvrable thanks to its articulated steering, so that obstructions can be easily driven around, while ac-cessing corners and driving alongside fences and walls can be accomplished without a problem. Suitable adapters for front-mounting on other ride-on mowers and tractors are also avail-able on request.

TRAMUS-City is a spraying system for attachment onto various tractors and ride-on mowers with standard tow couplings.

All familiar MANKAR® advantages are included!

Naturally, the MANKAR® UNIMA-City and TRAMUS-City also of-fer the already well-known, decisive advantages familiar to all MANKAR® ULV spraying systems:

• Herbicides are applied undiluted – no time-consuming blend-ing of a spray mixture necessary!

• Exact herbicide usage - the herbicide is applied exactly where it is needed thanks to the vertical, unpressurised application with the segment rotary nozzles. Borderline sharp herbicide application without spray drift is no problem.

• High effi ciency saves money – 0.5 – 1 liter of Roundup® per hectare on sealed surfaces is suffi cient due to the undiluted, exact and even application of minute herbicide droplets!

• Environmentally friendly herbicide usage – the environment is preserved by the use of only a small amount of herbicide and the minimized risk of spray drift.
