Four Corners Home for Children is a member of the Christian Coalition of Home for Children. Navajo Ministries is also a Charter Member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). The individual homes are licensed by the State of New Mexico for health and safety. The Navajo Nation Division of Social Services and Child Protective Services Division has certified Four Corners Home for Children for foster care services.

A F T E R - S C H O O L L E A R N I N G P R O G R A MThe After-School Learning Program at the Education and Activity Center provides tutoring and other fun activities for our children grades K-12. The children enjoy the opportunity to interact with volunteers, other Navajo Ministries staff members as well as students from Navajo Preparatory School.

R A N C H P R O G R A MThe Ranch Program is great for our kids and a lot of fun too. Our animals include horses, goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens and geese. The Ranch Program is beneficial to the children who have experienced trauma since the animals are calming and provide comfort. School-aged kids help with feeding, watering and some basic care and grooming.

B O X T O P S We continue to collect Box tops for Education even though our On-Site School is currently closed. Thanks to many generous contributions we are able to earn thousands of dollars for our students’ school. These funds provide a variety of learning materials, sports equipment and other needed items.

A B O U T N A V A J O M I N I S T R I E S

Navajo Ministries (formerly Navajo Missions Inc.) was founded in 1953 by Jack Drake to provide a stable, secure home for the many Navajo children in need. An inter-denominational ministry since 1953, it has provided care for over 1,000 children, who’ve ranged in age from newborns to older teenagers.

Navajo Ministries works alongside Navajo Social Services in attempting to re-unify families and in upholding the Indian Child Welfare Act. Children are placed at Four Corners Home for Children through Navajo Social Services, the State of New Mexico or voluntary family placement.

Navajo Ministries’ other programs include: KNMI Vertical Radio; Navajo Nation Outreach; and Navajo Ministries After-School Learning Program.

F O U R CO R N E R S H O M E F O R C H I L D R E NThe Four Corners Home for Children provides three large homes to assist children in need. Dedicated and loving houseparents provide a family atmosphere in order to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children in our care. Navajo Ministries has a licensed professional counselor, who meets regularly with the children in the Play Therapy room.
