Since static pressure loss is reduced, more of the fan static pressure is available, thus increasing unit efficiency. All the twin head pumps have a built-in non-return valve in the discharge port to prevent reverse circulation in the idle stand- by unit. UMT(D)/UPT(D) 40 models are supplied complete with 1.5in BSP counter flanges, whilst UMTD/UPTD 100 models have 4in BSP counter flanges. Among the features of the UMT, UPT range are in-line ports for easy pipeline mounting, and the use of stainless steel components for pump shaft and impellers for greater resistance to corrosion. With its wtde temperature range (-15 to + 12ffC), flow rates from 2 to 26dm 3s-1 and suitability for frictional resistances up to 120kNm ,, the range is ideal for LTHW and MTHW heating systems up to 6 bar pressure, or air con- ditioning plants. Using touch-buttons, this micro- processor-based portable logger can be either manually operated or programmed for automatic data collection at selected intervals. Data can be stored in the memory and output to a printer. The standard built-in memory allows storage of 23 values and is optionally expandable by RAM to 500 values: pro- grammable tune intervals are 10 and 30s, 1.5, 15 and 30min and 1 and 2 h. Two versions of the terminal are available, one for type K thermo- couple probes measuring from - 200 to +1370~C, and one for Ptl00 platmum resistance probes measuring between - 250 and +850'C. Each version has two measurement ranges with automatic switch-over for optimum resolution on the LCD four-digit display: up to + 200'C giving a resolution of 0.1'C: and above 4 200C with 1 (' resolution. The accuracy is _+0.1 ",, m all cases with a maximum linearization error of between 0.05 and 0.2"C, depending upon the version and range. Automatic offset correction assists long term stability. Touch-buttons initiate on/off, print (and disptay), clear (screen,' memory), C 'F (display/print), and select for surface or immersion {probe). Function touch-buttons select four temperature measure- ments present value, trend, minimum and maximum during the cycle. A "memory' button instigates data storage and 'recall' button restores erased data to memory. A 'time' button initiates automatic operation and selects the pro- gramming interval, while another marked timer displays the time elapsed since the last automatic storage and printout. Arrowheads on the display keep track of the various operating modes. A small Epson P40 dot matrix printer (optionalt and temperature sensing probe are supplied and carried with the terminal in a briefcase.
