Projects

Thefollowingarethemainprojectssupportedbyusin2015:

1. SponsorachildYou can sponsor a child bymaking a donationof only $ 250per year to cover allexpenses of the child. Child sponsorship can be done under the KNS and ASSUREprojects.

2. RuralHealthDevelopmentProject:EmmanuelHospital,Madhepura is serving thecommonpeopleinthestateofBihar.HIissupportingaruralhealthprogramforthisarea.This includestraininghealthworkersandorganisinghealthclinicsintheruralareas.HIhasdonated$18,400forthisprojectthisyearandplanstodonate$7000moreduringtheyear.

3. ASSUREProject:ASSUREhasaprojecttohelptheneedychildrentogeteducation.ASSURE isdoingvillagedevelopmentworkalso in tribalareas inOrissa.ASSURE isinvolvedinprovidingwaterandsanitationforpoorvillages.HIhasalreadydonated$9,500forthisprojectthisyearandplanstodonate$20,000moreduringtheyear.

4. KNSProject:KarnatakaNavajeevanaSamithy(KNS)hasaprojecttodevelopahomeforgirlsinKarnataka.KNSprovidesfundstomeetalltheexpensesfortheirstudies,healthandaccommodation.HIaim tohelp increase the facilities toaccommodate50girls.HIdonated$6,300thisyear.

5. OrphanageinOrissa:HIdonated$4,000in2015tohelpanorphanageinOrissa.

6. EducationSupport:HIdonated$1400forSheri,aTheologystudentinNagercoildist.and$2640forRahulSingh,anMBAstudentinPuneaseducationaid.

7. YMCA - Disabled Children Project: A donation of $3,700 was given to YMCA inThiruvalla,KeralatohelpthedisabledchildreninandaroundThiruvalla.

4. FundsDistributionFundsdistributedtillSep302015:Wehavedonated$55,000forsupportingvarious

projectsduringtheyear. Fundstobedistributed: Weexpecttodonate$60,000more,therebyaiming

togiveatotalof$115,00forvariousprojectsbyDec2015.

WehaveenteredintoanunderstandingwithGlobalDevelopmentGroup,(www.globaldevelopmentgroup.org/au)on sending funds for theMadhepuraHospitalproject,under theEmmanuelHospitalAssociation.GDGcan issueTaxdeductible receipts to thosewhomakedonationstoHIfortheMadhepuraproject.
