Presentation of ASSIST Project

1.1 ASSIST overview and introduction ASSIST is a 36-months European ‘market activation and policy orientation’ project to tackle fuel poverty and support vulnerable consumers. It intends to actively engage consumers in the energy market and positively change behaviour in relation to energy consumption and to influence design of policy at all levels to tackle fuel poverty issues.Based on the conclusion of the Energy Citizens’ Forum and of the European Vulnerable Consumers Working Group, the project intends to combine activities addressing both energy and social dimensions as fuel poverty is not only an energy issue nor can it be tackled in isolation of the bigger issue of poverty. More specifically, ASSIST strategic objectives are to contribute to:

tackle energy poverty;

reduce the main barriers of the energy market faced by vulnerable consumers;

support vulnerable consumers to be more efficient with their domestic energy consumption (electricity and gas).

To fulfil its goals, the project foresees diversified and correlated research, networking and in-field actions, consistent with the relevant national and European scenarios. Among them, ASSIST intends to create a network of innovative professional figures supporting vulnerable consumers in their domestic energy consumption: “Home Energy Advisors (HEA’s)”.

This document is part of Work package 4: Energy Advisor Network and presents the instructions for the ICT platform created for the network.

1.2 Document overview and relation to other work packages

The present document includes the individual deliverable D4.3, that contains two sections. Section 1 is instructions to the ICT system intended for the use of the Advisors. Section 2 contains more detailed instructions for the platform intended for the use of the project partners and is confidential due to monitoring descriptions. The first section will be adjusted according to the national HEA network areas, and the instructions are translated to national languages. This document is closely linked with previous deliverables D4.1 Network guideline, D4.2 HEA Network ICT System and the following D4.4 HEA Network Monitoring Mechanism for Saved Energy and Increased Comfort Level.

The work package is also in close relation with the work in most other WP’s. WP4 is in this respect both a monitoring system and a platform which is proposed to sustain the activities of the HEA’s and the established network also after the ASSIST project has ended.

Instruction manual for the Advisors After having successfully passed the full ASSIST-HEA training course, as a fully trained HEA ready to start working on the field to assist consumers in energy poverty, you become member of the HEA network and can access the HEA network working environment. No actions are needed from you – the access to the network and to the working environment is automatic. In the Moodle ASSIST system (used for the training) you will find a new area – the HEA working environment.

This instruction manual is to help you access the networking area, edit your profile and use the functions on the networking area. Each country will have their own network area, which might differ in functionalities and sections, but all of the features are at your disposal in the European Network area. This manual is dived into 2 chapters, described in the table below.

2.1 System and structure 2.1.1 Logging in to the system

To login to networking area access the same page that was used when you accessed the training platform. In case you have not used the platform before for training, you will receive your credentials when you successfully pass the training. To access the networking area, navigate to https://assist2020.eu/

To log in: • Insert your user name and password in to the Sign In box and click Login.• In case you don’t remember your password, click the “forgotten password” link at

the bottom of the box and follow the instructions to retrieve your password• If you have trouble accessing the system, contact the system support

Upon logging into the system, you will see the Home section. It is a dashboard that brings tiles corresponding to the other sections of the system. The left menu is the main tool to navigate through the system, although you can use the tiles in your home page as well. The menu includes:

➢ My area consists of all the areas accessible to you such as the training course youhave participated, the network area of your country and the European network area

2.1.1.1 Editing your profile

To edit your profile information, click your name at the right top corner of the window as shown in the picture below. There you can change your profile information:

2.1.2 Dashboard

The dashboard is a customisable page for providing users with details of their courses and areas. In the centre is the Course overview block which allows users to easily track required activities and filter courses.

2.1.3 My Area > HEA Network

You can access the HEA network areas, both national and European, through the left menu (image on the left) or through the dashboard (image on the right).

The HEA working environment is intended as the working area for the HEAs and the area is designed to facilitate the working and networking of the HEA.

On the left a new menu is displayed, which will help navigate in the HEA network.

2.1.3.3 ASSIST HEA Action

This section intends to provide details on the various actions that the HEAs may deliver to support energy poor / vulnerable consumers to better satisfy their energy needs. The content of the Action section is dependent of the actions, pilots, done in your country. Not all actions are for all the advisors. The section provides descriptions of actions, schedules and more.

2.1.3.5 ASSIST HEA Action impact

In ASSIST Action impact you may find the tools you need to use to monitor and report on the action you are implementing and their impact. Each country will have their own set of actions to deliver and the reporting will differ according to the actions. This section will give you instructions on the use of reporting tools. The tools can be such as:

• Reports• Checklists• Excel sheets• Questionnaires

Here find the tools to report your action and enable the ASSIST team to carry out the mentoring, tutoring and evaluating steps of the ASSIST action. You will find also an overview on the overall progress of ASSIST in all countries involved.

2.2 Functionalities The system offers a wide range of functionalities to advisers, from internal and external communication tools to reporting tools.

2.2.1 Internal communication tools

2.2.1.1 Facebook

Facebook bar is found on the right column of the area, as seen on the picture on right. With the tool comments can be posted both within the area and also shared/posted on personal Facebook page. Facebook used internally can be a useful and informal tool to share information and experiences amongst members of the HEA network

1) Use the Add Comment box to post a message in theinternal ASSIST Facebook group

Notifications are incoming communications from the system on events, homeworks, deadlines, etc. To see all your messages or notifications:

1) Click on the bell symbol (for notifications) or on the message symbol (for messages)at the top right corner of the window

2) Select See all

Messages are incoming/outgoing messages to single HEA or to all the members of the HEA network.

2.2.1.5 Forum

The idea is that sharing experiences, solutions and problems may help us all to best deliver the ASSIST action. Discussions are launched by the HEA network managers. You can use your email or the announcements tools to suggest a new discussion topic.

To access the forum, click “Discussion Forum” in the General page.

Participation in discussions on the forum is allowed only to users who have subscribed the forum. In order to subscribe to a specific forum:

1) Click on the settings symbol (cogwheel)2) Select Subscribe to this forum

To post a message in a discussion forum: 1) Click on the discussion title you want to join2) Select Answer and insert your message

2.2.1.6 Questions & Answers (Q&A)

Similar to the discussion forum, in this Q&A section, you can pose questions and discussions to other members of the HEA network. However, in this section you can ask you question without having to send an email to the HEA managers first.

To access the forum, click “Q&A” in the General page.

In order to subscribe to the Q&A forum: 1) Click on the settings symbol (cogwheel)2) Select Subscribe to this forum

2.2.2 External Network communication tools

2.2.2.1 Facebook

The functionality is similar to the internal Facebook (see chapter 2.2.1.1), but in order to make your Facebook message visible to people outside the network select the link «Also post on Facebook» and your posts will be then published on your own Facebook account or if you are administrator for a Facebook page, you can also select to publish there.

2.2.2.3 Quickmail

To enable emailing outside the platform, Quickmail has been added to the network area. Quickmail bar can be found on the right pane as seen below. Quickmail emailing can be used for internal emailing as the original emailing system on Moodle, but with Quickmail you can also insert external recipients to emails.

This instruction manual is to help you access the networking area, edit your profile and use the functions on the networking area. The system and this manual are dived into 4 chapters, described in the table below.

Each partner can modify the original the country area to suit your specific need. Each country partner will also be responsible of providing the content and resources relevant to your working HEAs.

NOTE: The aim of the network area is to facilitate the working of HEAs but also enable the networking between the different HEA groups in your country, both aspects should be considered when altering the structure.

It is important HEAs have the feeling of having accessed a community.

The content of the Action section is dependent of the actions, pilots, done in your country. Not all actions are for all the advisors. To access the forum, click “Q&A” in the General page. Similar to the discussion forum, in this Q&A section, you can pose questions and discussions to other members of the HEA network. However, in this section HEAs can ask you question without having to send an email to the HEA managers first.

For this forum it has been set that the HEA can launch discussions – A CAREFUL MONITORING will be necessary

Even though the title of the forum is «Q&A» it is a «standard forum» (displayed like a blog) and not a «Question and Answer” forum – which is usually used to enable teachers to pose questions to the students and by default a Q and A forum requires students to post once before viewing other students' postings. A formal “Question and Answer” forum can be introduced, or you may wish to change this in “Question and Answer” by entering the forum settings.

The calendar is assessible through the right menu or dashboard. With the calendar is to help the advisers stay up to date about upcoming events in the ASSIST network. Calendar should be intended to promote the upcoming events.

The functionality is similar to the internal Facebook (see chapter 3.2.1.1), but in order to make you Facebook message visible to people outside your network select the link «Also post on Facebook» and your posts will be then published on your Facebook account or if you are administrator for a Facebook page, you can also select to publish there.

3.2.2.2 Quick email

To enable emailing outside the platform, Quickmail has been added to the network area. Quickmail bar can be found on the right panel as seen below. Quickmail emailing can be used for internal emailing as the original emailing system on Moodle, but with Quickmail you can also insert external recipients to emails.

3.3 Activities Adding diverse activities to the system can add value to the discussion and promote discussion. Activities can also be used to monitoring the progress of the actions. 14 different activities can be added to the various sections of the work environment. They are:

• Assignments - Enable teachers to grade and give comments on uploaded files andassignments created on and off line

• Chat - Allows participants to have a real-time synchronous discussion• Choice - A teacher asks a question and specifies a choice of multiple responses• Database - Enables participants to create, maintain and search a bank of record entries• Feedback - For creating and conducting surveys to collect feedback.• Forum - Allows participants to have asynchronous discussions• Glossary - Enables participants to create and maintain a list of definitions, like a

dictionary• Lesson - For delivering content in flexible ways• (LTI) External tool - Allows participants to interact with LTI compliant learning resources

and activities on other web sites such as Blackboard or Canvas resources. (These mustfirst be set up by an administrator on the site before being available in individual courses.)

• Quiz - Allows the teacher to design and set quiz tests, which may be automaticallymarked and feedback and/or to correct answers shown

3.4.1.2 Logs

In the Logs report you can verify all the logs of the environment, that is what each user has performed in the system. You filter the logs by course, participants, activities, etc.

The Logs is the most important part of the reports as they consist the raw data that are used for the creation of all the other reports. They are also the only part of the report section that can be downloaded by users that wish to process the raw data directly and create reports personalised on each association’s needs. The downloading options include the most popular data types, including CSV files, Microsoft excel spreadsheet, html, etc.

3.4.1.3 Live Logs

Similar to Logs report, in Live logs you can verify all the logs of the environment, that is what each user has performed in the system. However, this is a live view that gets updated every 60 seconds giving you a nearly-actual sight of what is happening in the HEA environment that minute. The only difference from the Logs report is that Live Logs cannot be downloaded.

3.4.1.4 Activity report

Under Reports > Activity report, you can keep track of the use of activities (see previous chapter 3.3). By clicking on the activity link you will be readdressed to the activity on the course.

The Activity report shows a summary of the Activity use that took place within a specific time-frame, per course. You can specify the time-frame of the report by pressing “Filter” and filling in the start and end date of the required time-period.

Toiminnan seuranta -osiosta löydät tarpeelliset työkalut tuutoritoiminnan seurantaan ja raportointiin. Seurantatyökaluilla voit tarkkailla tekemiesi tuutoritoimien vaikuttavuutta ja kehittää omaa lähestymistapaasi neuvontapalveluiden tarjoamiseksi. Tässä osiossa tarjotaan seurantatyökalut erilaisia tuutoritoimia varten sekä perehdytetään niiden vaivattomaan käyttöön.

Työkaluihin kuuluu muun muassa:

- Yhteenveto koko tuutoriverkoston vaikutuksista- Tarkistuslistat eri toimien vaivattomaan toteuttamiseen- Taulukkopohjat toiminnan vaikuttavuuden seuraamiseksi- Kyselypohjat, joilla voi kartoittaa haavoittuvien henkilöiden elämäntilannetta ja

ASSIST hankkeen yhtenä tavoitteena on tutkia eri auttamisen muodon vaikutuksia. Tästä syystä palautteen antaminen ja tuutorointitoimien raportointi on erityisen arvokasta verkostolle. Toiminnan seuranta -osio tarjoaa raportointipohjat ja niiden käyttäohjeet verkoston vaikutusten tutkimiseksi. Tästä osiosta voit myös tarkastella muiden maiden tuutoriverkostojen aikaansaannoksia.

Keskustelualue on tarkoitettu kokemusten, ratkaisujen ja haasteiden jakamiseksi energiatuutoreiden kesken. Kohdatuista tilanteista ja tunteista puhuminen helpottaa tuutorointityön kehitystä ja haavoittuvassa asemassa olevien auttamista. Keskusteluaiheet luodaan energiatuutoriverkoston koordinaattoreiden toimesta. Voit ehdottaa uusia keskustelunaiheita lähettämällä yhteisöalueen koordinaattorille viestiä tai sähköpostia.

Prezentacja projektu ASSIST

1.1 ASSIST: przegląd i wstęp ASSIST to 36-miesięczny europejski projekt "aktywizacji rynkowej i orientacji politycznej" mający na celu zwalczanie ubóstwa energetycznego i wspieranie konsumentów wrażliwych. Zamierza aktywnie angażować konsumentów na rynku energii i pozytywnie zmieniać zachowania w odniesieniu do zużycia energii oraz wpływać na kształtowanie polityki na wszystkich poziomach w celu rozwiązania problemu ubóstwa energetycznego. Na podstawie wniosków Energy Citizens’ Forum i grupy roboczej European Vulnerable Consumers, projekt dąży do połączenia działań dotyczących zarówno wymiaru energetycznego, jak i społecznego, ponieważ ubóstwo energetyczne jest nie tylko problemem energetycznym, ale nie można go rozwiązać w oderwaniu od społecznego problemu ubóstwa. Dokładniej, cele strategiczne ASSIST mają przyczynić się do:

zwalczania ubóstwa energetycznego;

zmniejszenia głównych barier na rynku energii, na które narażeni są konsumenci;

wspierania wrażliwych konsumentów, aby byli bardziej wydajni w swoim krajowym zużyciu energii (elektryczności i gazu).

Manual de instrucciones para asesores Una vez superado con éxito el curso de formación profesional ASSIST-SADe en su totalidad, se convertirá en miembro de la red SADe y podrá acceder a la red del entorno de trabajo en calidad de SADe plenamente capacitado y listo para empezar a trabajar en el área de ayuda al consumidor en materia de pobreza energética. Para acceder en el área de red, acceda a la misma página utilizada para acceder a la plataforma de formación. En caso de que no haya utilizado dicha plataforma anteriormente para la formación, recibirá sus credenciales una vez haya pasado la formación. Para acceder al área de red, diríjase a https://assist2020.eu/

Para acceder: • Inserte su nombre de usuario y contraseña en el cuadro de Registrarse y haga clic

en Acceder. • Si se ha olvidado de la contraseña, haga clic en el enlace de “olvidó su contraseña”

en la parte inferior del cuadro y siga las instrucciones para recuperar su contraseña. • Si tiene problemas para acceder al sistema, contacte con el sistema de ayuda

Una vez

1.1.2 Panel de control

El panel de control es una página personalizable que proporciona al usuario detalles sobre sus cursos y áreas. En el centro se encuentra la casilla de vista general de curso que permite a los usuarios localizar fácilmente las actividades necesarias y filtrar los cursos.

Instruction manual for the Advisors Having successfully passed the ASSIST HEA (Home Energy Advisor) training course, you are now ready to start working in the field to assist consumers in fuel poverty. You are also now a member of the HEA network and can access the HEA network portal. No actions are needed from you – the access to the network and to the portal is automatic. In the Moodle ASSIST system (as described in the training) you will find a new area – the HEA working environment.

This instruction manual is to help you access the networking area, edit your profile and use the functions in the networking area. Each country will have their own network area, which might differ in functionalities and sections, but all of the features are at your disposal in the European Network area. This manual is dived into 2 chapters, described in the table below.

The idea is that sharing experiences, solutions and problems may help us all to best deliver the ASSIST action. Discussions are launched by the HEA network managers. You can use your email or the announcements tools to suggest a new discussion topic. To access the forum, click “Discussion Forum” in the General page.

Participation in discussions on the forum is allowed only to users who have subscribed the forum. In order to subscribe to a specific forum:

1.2.2.1 Facebook

The functionality is similar to the internal Facebook (see chapter 2.2.1.1), but in order to make your Facebook message visible to people outside the network select the link «Also post on Facebook» and your posts will then be published on your own Facebook account or if you are administrator for a Facebook page, you can also select to publish there. 1.2.2.2 Quick email

To enable emailing outside the platform, Quickmail has been added to the network area. Quickmail bar can be found on the right pane as seen below. Quickmail emailing can be used for internal emailing as the original emailing system on Moodle, but with Quickmail you can also insert external recipients to emails.
