Art Matters! As a long time curator and owner of Kasia Kay art projects gallery, I recognize the importance of international awareness of contemporary art, and so I have worked with an international clientele and participated in an array of art fairs like ~Art Miami, Scope New York and Miami, Art Chicago, Volta NY, and more. Kevin Berlin is an internationally recognized artist of enormous talent, with a great eye for bringing to light various intriguing global issues. Diane Christiansen’s work is about spaciousness and the experience of quieting the mind and moving things aside in order to create it. The artworks themselves are paintings on plaster, which attest to the activity of addition (painting and drawing) and subtraction (erasure through sanding) through which they are created. The slow, meditative, practice involved in their creation serves as an antidote to our current environment that is so full of speed, aggression and the barrage of information.

Flowing Water

In Feng Shui, the flow of money is represented by flowing water. Therefore, if you want to have a good salary and boost your career, it is best to have moving water (literally or figuratively) in the Career Gua of your home. This moving water can be in the form of something like a water fountain or something that looks like or represents water like a large framed mirror or a picture of a calm-flowing river. Just make sure that the water is or appears to be flowing into the house and not out of the house. The same holds true even for paintings or pictures of water.

Next time you touch your granite countertops, focus on drawing out the positive energy of the crystal quartz. Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals in the world. Sand is mostly comprised of quartz; even the dust in the air is high in quartz content. The most well-known form of quartz is clear rock crystal, and it may be found throughout the world. Granite is a form of igneous rock. It is composed mainly of crystalline silicate minerals such as quartz, feldspar, and mica. Granite is formed by molten rock deep in the Earth that has moved up into rock near the surface. The magma cools slowly, which allowed the grains of silicate minerals time to grow. The rate at which the rock cools determines how large the crystals grow. The more slowly the magma cools the larger the crystals.
