Harry Potter could have different meanings, a good book, a bad story, a fantastic story, without coherence, but the experts and fans don´t think that, a fact for some people. In this essay will going to discover the real meaning of Harry Potter´s books, at the beginning some details going to be shown, sales and translates; next the main ideas going to be developed and it are the promoting of reading, the creating links friendship, improve the power of positive think and the Character building. At the end Harry Potter is the best books saga published in the 21 century it doesn´t matter if many are in against.

In the actuality we have many kinds of books, books about war, about relationships, cocking, pets and all the possible and imaginable topics, but only a few are considered goods, in this side we have a problematic and controversial saga, its name is Harry Potter.

Harry Potter is already a world history was impregnated due to the impact has come to have. By December 2007 it had sold over 400 million copies of the seven books that make up the saga, which can be found in more than 65 languages.

Since the launch of the first publication in 1997, the series of Harry Potter has had a huge impact on the world of children's literature. The whole world acclaimed it, the saga, divided in seven books, narrates the adventures of Harry Potter, a young wizard, in Hogwarts.

The story about the books is full of magic, young problems, friendships, complicate escapes and the classic battle between the evil and good. It story is considered a literary phenomenon, admired and applauded for many people in all the countries. But the saga has many problems too, like the criticism about the topic or main idea that is containing in the story. In the other hand we could find positives effects in children and youngers.

1. Promotes the reading

The most evidently effect of Harry Potter´s books is the rising of reading in children and youngers. According to a study, 51% of children who read the series, said that they did not read for fun before reading the series. The same study shows, 65% of children have better grates in the school, and it is because the reading improve the imagination and concentration on the kids.

2. Creates links of friendship

A study of Journal of Moral Education made in 2002 suggested that the saga provides to the kids invaluable lessons about friendship and its importance. At the beginning the story shows a simple idea about the good and the evil, but whit the progresses of the series the stories become more and more complicated, this fact forces children to think what is correct and incorrect. In every book end Harry gets the successful because of the relationships that made during the story.

3. Makes/improve the power of positive thinking

The books show us the positive thinking, the power that it has and how we can improve it. While Harry is studying the younger wizards can produce many spells, and the only requirement is to focus on the target and have faith. In many times the younger wizards fight with some internal fear and they found the power to confront it inside of their selves. The best example is the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban book.

At Hogwarts, students are divided into four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. During the year, the houses compete for the honor of the House. Individually, students can earn and lose points for their houses, building a sense of community responsibility. Each student feels pride and responsibility for their respective home.

We have many reasons to find Harry Potter controversial, antimoral and very fantastic, the reality is that many institutions, like the Catholic Church, are in against with this kind of stories, for the contents and the popularity.

But Harry Potter have a huge value. This value could be summarized in Harry Potter returned to the world the power of imagination, the power to travel to many different places and restored the faith of humanity. Harry Potter came to change the course of the humanity. In Which sense? The book was published in an age full of war and violence, it taught relying on friend again, don’t lose the hope and faith and fight to the end.

Harry Potter could have many meanings but, actually, it was a big phenomenon, continue being and could be for many year more. Harry Potter is not only a book, is a way to see the life, a way to confront the problems and a life style. Harry Potter is the best books saga published in the 21 century.
