2017 has been a very busy year for the Atherton Tolhurst clan. We sincerely hope that all is well with you and your family and hope you take the time to catch up with us. MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAPPY HOLIDAYS from TEAA&RGT Scott Palmer continues to work for the city of Prince George where he works in the GIS department. He had a very busy summer organizing relief camp locations for people who had been evacuated from their homes due to forest fires. His dedication to his work earned him a new promotion in his department. Congrats! Palmer spent much of his free time working on renovations in his house and was also very busy playing and managing his senior baseball team. Yes! he still throws the meanest heavy ball in the league. Tor has had a busy year at UC Davis where he continues to work on his PHD in Ag Ec. And if that has not kept him busy enough he continues to attend and present in conferences all over the world. His love for cooking paid off big time for us when he prepared all the food that was served at our wedding reception. Best of luck to him as he plans to finish up his PHD and go to the work market next year. Welcome to our family, Finn Nicholas born March 17 th making him the second leprechaun in the Tolhurst clan sharing the same birth date as his Uncle Tor. Now eight months later he is showing his character with smiles, laughter and love for his family. Congrats! to Caitlyn, Stefano and older brother Noah! B E H A P P Y Caitlyn, Stefano & family are living in Vancouver where Stef continues his residency as an Interventional Radiologist. Thank goodness for Caitlyn, who even with a job managing a startup company, “Dr Bill” still manages to take care of their two young boys while keeping Stefano on track. We have enjoyed many trips with them this year including the Ranch, Clearwater, Whistler and most recently in Maui. We look forward to spending time with them at the Ranch in the future. Rum turned 86 this fall and is doing great. She spends time between her great grandchildren here and in the South Seattle area. She still loves to bake and all the family loves when she visits. Noah, like his little brother is always happy, super focused and always wanting to learn. We love having him for sleepovers and he loves the Ranch and every activity we are involved in there. He goes to school three times a week and the rest of the time he keeps his parents and grandparents busy and happy.

Sante mon ami Luc Lajeunesse RIP

WSR continues to be the main plan for our future. We are currently making final decisions on construction which will begin in late May of 2018. That means all the infrastructure, sewerage, water well, hydro all to be done. We experimented with solar this summer and are considering being totally off grid. So many decisions…..Some of the 2017 Ranch highlights included welcoming the New Year, ice fishing, Nordic skiing and snowmobiling; the May Season Opener, fishing, fishing and more fishing; Installation of Stage 2 Solar Plan, a work party of 3 generations of Tolhurst boys; the end of season shutdown. TEAA’s Message

reason my heart has been able to finally heal! The rest of the love the Tolhurst family has given me over the last thirteen years is what made me finally say “YES!” To all the rest of my friends and family who couldn’t make it to Maui you were in our thoughts. It was the BEST DAY! The pictures were taken by my brother, Tom, my sister, Dale and my niece, Naomi. Thank you for capturing that spectacular day. A very special thank you to my bestie, Edith and to Caitlyn, for all your support and to my boys, Scott, Tor, Stef, Noie and little Finn. There are no words to express how I feel for you. Lastly to my husband, you are my heart! Merry Christmas! Everybody!

Ranch Report

surrounded by our families and closest friends. I am truly blessed to have TEAA, our children, our families and friends (who are like family) and so special to share our love. Special thanks to my bestman and best friend Cupper, who brought his family from Australia to share our happiness. Couldn’t of done it without you guys. In closing I want to once again say how proud I am of our sons, the lives that they are building, how they have handled the ups and downs and challenges of life. So very proud of you guys and I look forward to sharing many more memories in the future. And finally to my beautiful bride, lover, wingman and best friend, TEAA, you make me a better man. Thank you for loving again! Cheers! RGT

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Love to all! God Bless!

We got Mauied!! Thirteen years ago, RGT asked me to marry him and although I said yes I also said he’d have to wait until I was ready. This past Xmas, I re-proposed to him. It takes a special man to realize that it’s not only time that heals the heart. Eddy was my heart! The Atherton’s have been a huge part in my recovery of the loss of their brother. My love for my grandsons has been the second biggest part of my healing. I didn’t see this coming. Noah, (my Noie) is the 2nd biggest reason my

My grandsons and I have such a great life ahead of us. One only need see the glint in their eyes and their desire to soak in all around them…every moment to live and look forward to. And that is our plan, to share their lives with ours, the highs and lows, to comfort each other when things are down and celebrate life as it is dealt to us. TEAA and I exchanged vows in Maui recently,

No one, has fished harder or put more hours out on the lake then our 2017 WSR Fisherman of the Year. Our recipient has dedicated nearly all of his free Ranch time (and more) to learning the secrets of fishing Ruth Lake. He is a 5 times runnerup for this prestigious award and finally 2017 is his year! CONGRATULATIONS Stefano! 23 in WSR Rainbow icefishing!

WSR Junior Fisherman of the Year

CONGRATULATONS! To Noah, who landed his first fish, unassisted. Like his Daddy, Noie loves to have a line in the water and is a constant fishing partner up at the Ranch. Won’t be long before he is hauling in the big fish and trophy!

2017 WSR Fisherman of the Year

LAUGH, LOVE and LIVE to the fullest!
