From The BoardHELLO ALL!
Welcome to another beautiful Fall in Waterleaf! The wait is finally over and the holidaysare on their way! Pumpkins crossed that the coming month will bring us some muchneeded cool fronts and rain, but preferably not on Halloween night! Be sure to have onelast scary splash in the pool before it closes after October 13th! We have a very exciting line of events on their way this fall with Toy Story 4 at the park onNovember 2nd and Christmas in the park in December! We just had a wonderful NationalNight Out! Thanks for all those that could attend and get to know all of our neighbors alittle better while enjoying some treats and meeting our local first responders, who helpkeep us safe! A special reminder to parents and children to be safe not only when Trick or Treating butat any time, being cognizant of sources of candy and offers of transportation. Welcome back to David Vail who has been voted to fill the remaining six months of therecently vacated position on the board. David rejoins as a past president. Thanks toDavid and also to Maureen Olson for stepping forward in offer to fill this need for theneighborhood. A summary of the vote and other happenings in the board meetings canalways be found on the waterleaffalls.com website under Board Meeting Minutes. Your HOA board meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM at the park pavilion. Come be a part by attending the next meeting in person where you will be able to askquestions and also be heard. Wishing a spooky yet safe Fall and Halloween to our fellowneighbors!! Sincerely,Your board:Tracy Scheel, Viviana Sandoval, David Vail, Clinton Kosh and William Bennett

Yard Of The Month (YOTM) On Hold
You may have seen the calls for volunteers to join theYard Of The Month Committee. You may have alsonoticed a repeat winner from the previous selection. Thiswas a mistake which untimely occurred due to a lack ofsupport for this program. For these reasons YOTM is onhold until there are volunteers to help maintain theprogram. This is a great time for two or more neighborsto fill in and help make YOTM the best it can be. Ifinterested please reach out to the board through ouremail address at [email protected] or throughFacebook. This is especially important as this time of yearwould normally include the special holiday awards.
Newsletter Going All DigitalThank you neighbors to all that engaged in our poll which was
emailed out and also shared through the various social media
outlets. The newsletter will be moving to an all digital format
beginning with the next issue. This will be the last newsletter
that is printed and mailed out to every household. This is
expected to save nearly $5,000 in the budget for 2020. The
newsletter will continue to be uploaded by and often before the
1st of each month on the waterleaffalls.com website under
Newsletter. An email will be sent out when each new newsletter is
uploaded. There will still be a physical copy of the newsletter
available at each of the entrance marquees for those that would
still like access to a physical copy but for quickest access always
check the online version.
Maintaining A Welcoming Park Atmosphere
As the cooler weather begins to roll in we will beable to take advantage of our wonderful parkmore and more. This means that there will bemore little children out and about. If playingmusic while playing basketball or other activitieslet's be considerate and encourage our olderchildren not to play songs that have vulgarlanguage or at least not within ear shot of theselittle ones. We can all work together to make thepark an enjoyable space for all neighbors.
Question of The MonthSometimes questions come in that are morecommon than others. We will start to includethose in the monthly newsletter. This month's question is: What is the process to follow with the HOA ifplanning to replace my fence? Answer: If you just replace the fence as it was, there’s noneed for ARC approval. If it is a different material,it needs to be request for ARC approval bynavigating to the waterleaffalls.com website andvisit Request Architectural Approval.
