Hand Sewing : Rainbow @tplchildren

Supplies:

-Three pieces of 8 mm (approx.) cord

measuring 8 in, 7 in , and 6 in.

-Three colors of yarn.

-Needle -tape

-Thread

-Scissors

- Round ring (optional)

1. Place cord as

shown to ensure they

fit together. Tape the

ends of each piece.

2. Use your first color and

tie a knot where the tape

stops. Wrap the ends in

and begin wrapping the

cord.

3. Keep the yarn close

wrap the cord to the

other end until you

reach the taped end.

4. Wrap the cord to

5. When you

reach the end tie

a knot and cut

move the tape

from both ends of

the cord.

7. Using a fork or a comb

separate the ends in a

combing motion.

8. Repeat steps 2-7 for

your other two colors.

9. Thread your needle

and begin to sew the

three cords together.

10. You will be picking

up small pieces of yarn

and cord on one side

of your rainbow.

11. You will need to shape the curve of the rainbow as

you sew. You can sew all three at the same time or do 2

them add the third.

If you have a ring you can sew it to the top of your rain-

bow.
