    Jonathan

    Hamilton was born Feb. 19, 1962 i n K im-

    berly

    South

    Africa to missionary parents   Annette

Hamil ton. Jona than received his training on

    th e

    field.

During 1982-1984 he was involved in an excit ing youth

ministry in Uganda and Kenya. Jon and his sisters, Son-

    ja

and Karen, average two vis its per day to the public

    schools where

    they

    taught 2500 youth weekly. He

    has

helped start new churches in that

    area.

    THE

ORPHANAGE we helped start in Mbale

is growing . The churches are growing as well,

    th e

    elders

    Preaching

    and

teaching in the pub lic schoo ls

    was

very exciting. The youth in Uganda were so very hungry

    for

    the Gospe l of

    Christ.

    They actually listened

    and

    asked questions

    after each lesson.

    Since the children of

    Uganda

    had to share text

    books

    with

    5

    other students an d

    the

    teachers had

    After one

    of singing and

    teaching my two

    sisters and 1

    My two

    those who come for

    We praise

    God

    for

    all

    that He

    has allowed

    me

    to be involved

    in.

    I

wanted to write this brief note about the past ministry so

    you

    could see

    yourself

    bearing

    fruit

    to

    the

Lord s g lo ry . My illness in Jan. 85 took

    me

out of circulation for about 5

    weeks,

    and

    I

    have

    just

    recuperated

    and

by His gracefeel strong again and

    well

    healed from the Hepititus

    Pneumonia

and mal-nutrition that hospitalized me in Johannesburg. I was

    advised

    to

    rest

    and slow

    down these past 6 months

    and now want

    to

    begin

    service

    again.

    I have

    been

invited to go to Kjmberly South Africa and work with Roland

Joseph, who is a local preacher dad had baptized and taught 2 years ago.

    There

    is no

    missionary

    in his area now

    and

    help is really

    needed.

    Ayoung

    man,

    Tyron

    Devalt of Casper Wyo may

    go

with me to help in this

    work.

    Lord

willing. We will min is te r with youth and all to

    whom

    the

    Lord

    will direct

us   as He a l lows

Jody my fiance and I, have prayed about our plans and feel that I

    can

    work in South

    Africa unti

she is finished with her R N training in

    about 18

    months.

Then we plan. Lord wflling to be married. Now that my

    health is

    back

    to normal I will

    be

    raising support to

    leave

    for

    Kimberly

    South Africa as

    soon as

    possible. I

    have

    my visa already and

    as soon as

    the

    air

    fare

    is raised

    and

    about

      300.00

    per

    month

    more

    pledged support

    IS in I will be

    able

    to

    go,

that will give me   600.00 per

    month,

    the

    minimum

    needed

    to

    work

    there .

Please let me know when I could visit your church to share the

    work

    and

    needs of these

    people

    in Africa. Right

    now

    is a

    very important

    time

    in

    South

    Africa I do not

    want

    to delay

    my

    going there to

    help

    while

    we can still do so.

    You

    are in my prayers thank

    you

    for your love

    and

    gifts I

    am

your servant for Jesus sake. Luke 17:10. When I have done

    all that is required I

    must

say I am still an unprofitable servant. We

are co-workers in the harvest. I

    hope Jody and

    I can work

    on

    the field

    together when

    she

finishes her training this is her desire too to be

    in the

    fields

    which

    are white unto harvest

    when

    Jesus

    comes.

    Greetings

    Christian friends in the

    name

    of

    our

    Lord

    Jesus

    Christ

    As you might know, Semi

    Rongawa

    in

    the

      j Islands

    had

    invited

    me to

    come and

    work with him in the

      j

    Christian mission

    that

    he

    started.

Semi applied for a work permit for me that was to have taken

    affect at the

    end

of January. I recently got a call from him,

    saying

    that

my work permit was denied by the

    government.

    No specific reason

    was

    given, but

    they

did try to get Semi to register with an established

    religious organization. He

    was

    wise

    and said

    he wanted to

    stay

independent. Lord willing in the future we w ll be able to get

someone in   j to help Semi preach

    Jesus

    to the

    people there.

    Keep

    Semi

    and

    his family in

    your prayers

    and

    pray

    that

    the

    door

    w ll

    open

    in

    the future.

     ...The

    harvest

    truly is pientious,

    but

    the

    laborers

    ar e

    few.

    Pray

    ye

    therefore th e

    Lord

    of th e

    harvest,

    that

    he will

    send forth laborers into

    hi s

    harvest.

    Jody

Dorris, my f iance, is doing really well in

    her

    LPN

    course (she

was on the Dean' s List this

past semester ). She w ll

    be finished in

    July and

    she plans

    to take

    her State Boards

    in October to

    get her

license. Jody and I decided to go ahead and get married and start

    our missionary

    work as

    soon as possible.

    We

    believe

    that

    Jody

    might

    be able

    to

    get some

    more

    nurses'

    training in

    South

    Africa, Lord

willing. We will have to wait until we

    get there

    to

    see

    the possibilities

of Jody going on to get her RN. I p lan to get a part time job while I

    raise

    support

    on

    the weekends. That

    w ll

    help

    us

    save some

    money

    so

    we can

    get married

soon after she gets out of

    school

    and before

we leave for Kimberly, Lord willing. Pray for me as 1raise
