<b>crowbar</b> ammo:infinite description:this weapon is kind of the trade mark of the half life saga. you will mainly use it to break though stuff like wooden blocades or ammo boxes or to defend yourself from quick enemy's wich cost allot of ammo with low result like headcrabs or manhacks.

<b>gravity gun</b> ammo:infinite

description:the most fun weapon of this moment. you can pick up objects,break them,throw them away. near the end yu will get a stronger version. but you will have to get there to see the effects yourself.

description:this is one powerfull hand weapon. due to its low ammo be wise when to use it.

<b>sub machine gun</b> (smg) ammo:45/225 + 3grenades

description:you will use this weapon the most during the game. one tip:during the level with the buggy(jeep) there is an infinite weapon stash behind the car,use it!! primary fire shoots of the ordinary bullets. secondary fire shoots of grenades,these are effective against groups of enemy's dont waste the ammo on 1combine or 1zombie

<b>shotgun</b> ammo:6/30

description:a weapon wich is best used in close combat you will mostly use this weapon in ravenholm due to the claustrophobic leveldesign. primary fire shoots of 1 shell secondary fire shoots of 2 shells(use this on poison zombie's)

<b>crossbow</b> ammo:1/10

description:the only weapon with a zoom function pay attention that the bolt will drop a bit when it moves away further from you so if you see a distant enemy aim a bit above him. primary fire shoots of a bolt secondary fire zooms in.

<b>grenades</b> aim:self explanatory pay attention that you can not "cook" the grenade the only way to do this is to throw the grenade to your feet quickly switch to the g-gun,pick it up and shoot it away.

<b>RPG</b> ammo:1/3

description:this is the only weapon that can take gunships down. use it verry wisely since its ammo is rare

<b>bugbait</b>(pheropod) ammo:infinite

description: this ball will summon antlions a bug wich you can use to attack an enemy. primary fire throws the ball away and the antlions will chase it (throw it to enemy's)

<b>AR2</b>(pulse rifle) ammo30/60 + 3cores

description:a verry powerfull machine gun, but if you dont watch your ammo you will deplete it verry quick the secondary fire shoots off a bouncy ball who kills anyone it hits(or anything)

<b>scanners</b>:harmless at first annoyng later in the gamethey will blind you,this is simular to the flashbang from css.

<b>man hacks</b>:small flying enemu's who will try to fly against you with their sharp spinning bladesthey will fly in packs,and mostly fly in narrow hallways

<b>drones</b>:basicly harmless npc's wich drop off mines that wil go off when you get near them

best weapon choice:none,waste of time and ammo

<b>headcrab</b>:annoying little,fast creatures,also seen in half life 1most of them will die easilykeep in mind that when you kill a zombi,there is a chance that the headcrab might drop off

best weapon choice:pistol,crowbar

<b>black headcrab</b>:these are thesame as the normal headcrabs but are poisenedand they look a bit different and have a different collor(black,duh!)they sometimes do 89 damage so if yo have 100 hp a double bite is aninstant killbut! if you are bitten you will regain health so wait a while when you are bittenbefore you proceed to the killingthese headrabs are the weakest of all,a couple of g-gun jolts will do the trick

<b>fast headcrab</b>:as the name might tell these headcrabs are quite fast and agilethey might drop off fast zombie's

<b>missile tanks</b>:they will shoot missiles at you,the best tactikis to fire at the missiles when you are in the airboat or on a turretbut KEEP MOVING

trying to destroy them will mostly take more time,health,ammo then when you try to run way from themso best tactik is just RUN!!!

<b>helicopters</b>:these guys are a pain in the behind and you will know it.at first they will only be patrolinglater in the game they will start shooting at you and even dropping timedelayed mines

best weapon choice:RPG,but if you have the airboat with the mounted machinegun use that!

<b>gunships</b>quite easy enemy if you aproach them in the right wayfire your missile at them so that they cant destroy it.

<b>strider</b>:large three legged ceatures if encounterd its always a struggle to stay allivetry aproachig them from behind

<b>sentry guns</b>:an enemy wich is quite easily taken down if you give them a jolt with the g-gunor if you throw n object at themlater in the game you will use these to take down combines

best weapon choice:g-gun,physics object,grenade(you cannot destroy them so dont waste ammo)

<b>zombies</b>:slow enemy' traveling in packsdont waste ammo on these,ese your crowbar

<b>fast zombies</b>:the fast zomie,able to jump from roof to roofbe quick and use your shotgun,dont miss because they dont ome alone

<b>poison zombies</b>:verry slow zombies,the biggest problem is not the zombie itself,its the poison headcrabs it throws at you,it can throw one at you from a great distancetry to kill it with a grenade or a shotgun before it has he chance to throw anny headcrabs.

<b>roller mines</b>:annoying enemy's wich are verry easy to evade when they are alonethey mostly occur in groups,when they notice you they will roll to youand give you an electrical shock or they will clamp themselves on your vehicle

<big>chapter 1</big><big>point intersetion</big><p align="center">02-01</p>

"Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply youhave been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest. And allthe effort in the world would have gone to waste until... well, let's justsay your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make allthe difference in the world. So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and smell theashes."

the first words you are going to hear when you start playing hl2you propably wont understand it but you will.

you start in a train,there are two more people in the train,the one near the door will say he didnt see you come in.exit the train and see that people arent really happy around hereyou will see some things flyng around,those are scaners.

follow the others you will see a citizen being beaten up by a combineand you will hear and see breen from the "breencast"take a left through the ate,and keepon moving untill you reach a small encaged areaa combine will say you need to follow himhe will ask another combine to leave the interrogation to leaveonce te other combine has left you ill se its barney calhounwhen you had the chat through the monitoryou will hae to leave that room barney will tell yo where to go

climb up the ladder,pick up the box,place i under the windowjump up the box,through the window and open the door

follow the path and open the door to enter the plaza.

you will see birds flying round,scanners and combinecan you see the big building in front of you? thats the citadel,the main combine base on earthther's only one way to go and thats right.into thealley. Climb the ladder here, and drop down at the other side of the gate.Follow the path again, and enter the open door.

Open the door and follow the stairs, and you'll see how Combines kick in a door and attack the person that lives there. Enter the various houses, andtalk to everyone. Everyone is afraid, angry or sad. Combines will enter thehouse, and as soon as you left the hallway, they'll start taking over therooms you just visited.

Go up the stairs, and enter the door. Suddenly, Combines will rush in andstart to beat everyone up. You'll be told to go to the roof, so just followthe path, up the stairs.

you will end up on the roof and combines will chase you and shoot you from the groundkeep running,but dont fallenter the open window and go down the stairs

combine will come out through both doors,resistance is futile,youll faintwhen you wake up alyx will stand over you andall te combines are down on the floorfollow alyx into the elevatorfollow her further

<big>chapter 2</big><big>a red letter days</big><p align="center">02-02</p>

Alyx will say it's funny you show up on that day. When people wanted to get toher father's lab (Eli), they used to go through the sewers. They invented ateleporter though, which allows them to go there much easier.alyx will say: The sewers aredangerous. As dangerous as me, when I'm hungry and drunk.

follow her untill you end up in the lab of doctor kleinerthe doctor lost his pet lamarr so hell be searchin for it .You'll hear various things,including cats (it's true), the teleportation technique and the suit. Barneywill come in, and open the chamber with the suit for you. Suddenly, a Headcrabwill jump out. Don't worry, it's Lamarr. He won't hurtyou, but that doesn't mean he's less aggressive. And he's not a good listener,because he goes away through the ventilation shaft. Get into the suit, and

you'll be able to go to the teleporter, so you can go to Eli's lab. Before youenter the next room, be sure to check out the mini-teleporter on the table near the entrance. Also charge your suit a bit by using the device on the wall. Enter the next room when you're done though.

from here alyx will be teleported to the lab where eli vance is atthe plug will drop so put it back in its place,after shes been teleported safely to the labits your turn,you will get teleported but not to the correct locaton.you will finally end up behind kleiners labgo down and follow the path.

barney will show up and hand you your first weapon,the crowbaryou will ave to go to eli through the sewersnote the citadelbreak through the wood with your crowbar and proceed

if you see anything down here thats moving,hit it.dont waste health on trying to hit the combine,you cant get to them so movefrom cover to cover through the trains smash your way through the boxes inside the trainswatch out for other trains coming in.enter the last train,climb the ladder and jmp over the fence follow the path to end this chapter

<big>chapter 3</big><big>route kanal</big><p align="center">02-03</p>

follow the path, and heal up if needed. Go around thecorner and save the couple from the evil Combines. You'll get a Pistol fordoing this (from a dead Combine, that is). Break open the entrance, and go upthe stairs. Kill the Combine, and keep going, until you are outside.

Kill the Combine here too, and find a way down. Wait for the train to stop,and you can get yourself to the other side. Watch out, because Combines willappear from the entrance you just took. If you shoot the barrel though, thatshould give you enough time to turn around and break away the planks, so youcan enter the house. As long as you stayaway from the door and windows, you should be safe for now. Find the barrelsand shoot them. This will open a new entrance. Go there.

Shoot the Combine on a higher platform. and smash open the supply chest. Open the door and follow the path.jump over the fence, and follow the path. Crawl into the shaft.At the other end of the shaft, you'll be able to kill the Combines one byone, which is a bit easier than having to kill them all at the same time. Whenyou are down, come out of the shaft and jump down.

Follow the trail, and when you see a Combine, kill him, and take the way hecame from. Just run, and kill any Combines that's in your path. More Combineswill chase you, that's why. You'll have to break a barricade in order to getthrough, and after a short walk, you'll have to jump down. If you are in need

for health and other goodies, you can take them by entering the small area.However, keep in mind Combines are chasing you. When you are sick of the Combines, follow the trail, and go right when you can. This will active atrain to pass by and kill all the Combines. Jump down, swim a whilein the filthy water climb up a container and jump in it.listen to the things he says(note the tv when you jump in)get the powerup from the vortigaunt.leave the container and smh through the wood you see

smash throgh some more barricades,watch the crow getting eaten by the barnacleyou can kill the barnacle and waste ammo or walk past it.you will her people screaming,they are being attacked by the combine.kill the combine closest to you,not the ones at the turret climb up on the ladderand kill the combine behind the turret,quickly pick up some medpacksand repel the combine counterattack.

take a path on the right and go down the othe sewer.Eventually you'll find a woman, who'll tell you to go on.never argue with women so do so.go down the pipe and jump in the water,kill the combine above youmove to the next waterpit dive down untill the barrels are exploded.then move through the broken gate.

when yo move further combine will attack from everywhere keep oving and keep shootingkeep moving untill you see a bridge shoot the barrels underneath it and send the combine flying.if you see a small hill go up there ,move the barrels.note the barnale tongues,grab an explosive barrel throw itand when they pick it up shoot it untill it burnsit will explode some seonds later and most of the barnacles will be deadso you can move up easily note the slippery floor so watch out if you are near a barnacle.

jump in the water and try to evade the explosive barrelsclimb up the wooden platformkill the combine by shooting the barrels near themfolow the path and you will end up in a new room.

this is the first second physics puzzle(remember the combine and the can?)if you like to talk about it email or pm me i love to talk about these subjects.anyways put the bricks on one end of the board and that way the boardwill tilt u so you can jump up the ledgeignore the helicopter

this part will be trial and error for some of you guysthe helicopter that will attack you will fire an reload.while he is reloading(you have about 2 seconds) sprint to new cover

since most of the cover is breakablemove to the left not the rightget up the ledge and through the door,that way the helicopter cant shoot you anymoreit will still be there tough.

Just follow the path. You can find some goodies by following the water, but when you are done playing around, you can get serious. Once again, you'll findramps, and Barnacles. Yes, also barrels that are able to explode. Get the idea? Good, because you'll need to do this 2 times. Each time, go down, and head to the other side. You'll head up outside. When you are, run and go around the corner.

Follow the path (and cut away things if needed), until you find a man. He willopen the door for you, and tell you the "guy they are looking for is a poorbastard". Does he even know who he's talking to? Anyways,when he wants to open the door, he'll find out Man Hacks are attacking him.Equip your Crowbar, and nail them down. When they are gone, climb up the ladder and find a stash of ammo and healththen go through the tunnel from where the manhacks came.

You'll find more Man Hacks, and a few barricades. At the barricade with a fewbarrels. just make sure one barrel explode, so the Man Hacks won't even be able to bother you. You'll eventually be able to choose between 2 paths. Takethe last one for supplies, then go back and take the other one.

Kill the enemies here (Combines and Man Hacks), and enter the next room. Godown, and you'll see a Combine come down. Shoot him, plus the other 2 at theend of the hall for a SMG. Nice eh? You can skip this paragraph, and just headto the end of the hall if you don't need supplies. Otherwise, read on. Go backto the beginning of the room, and enter the shaft that's near the entrance.A Man Hack will attack, so watch out. You'll end up in a room with a fewgoodies. Go back to where the Combine came down, and find a hole you canenter. At the end is a Zombie, but also goodies, including Grenades. Now headto the end of the hall.

Dive in the water, and find the entrance. Follow it all the way, until you cango up. Jump to the other side and kill the enemies. WAlk over the pipe, andkill the Barnacles. Grab the goodies if you want, and continue to walk overthe pipe. Be sure to get rid of the Man Hack. Break the fence you see, and follow the pipe for a few goodies. Go back after that, and find a place whereyou can dive down.

Swim to the other side, and go up. Kill the Combines in the distance, and besure the barrels explode before they even come close to you. Follow the pathnow, and run to the other side. Kill the Combines, and enter the hall. You'llsee a lot of Man Hacks, but a Grenade will take care of them. Open the doorat the end of the hall, where the Man Hacks used to be, and follow the path.

Grab the goodies, then enter the shaft and drop down.

This is an area full of Man Hacks. Really annoying. I just prefer to sit downin a corner with my Crowbar, but you can also make sure all the barrels explode. Whatever suits you, as long as the Man Hacks are gone. Climb up theladder, and walk over the pipes, so you end up at the platform that's higherthan the one you landed. Enter the next room, and go down using the pipes.This will make sure you'll find a wheel, which you can give a good spin, sothe water raises. When you did that, go back to the previous room, and killthe new Man Hacks. Drop down in the water, and swim to the other room. Get agood breath, then go down again and break away the planks, so the stuff willstart to float. With this, you are able to go to the other side of the room,and follow the path.

Climb up the ladder, and walk over the plank, so you end up at the other side.Jump down, and kill the Man Hacks and Combines. Go to where the Combines usedto be, and go up. Follow the path, and kill more Man Hacks. Here, follow tofind goodies, and climb up when you're done. Go to the other side, and dropdown. You'll end up in a new room.

If you want goodies, climb the pipe and follow it. Watch out for the "yellowwater", because it's toxic. Find the man though, and he'll be shooting Headcrabs. Hooray! Grab the goodies (be sure to open the chest for ammo), andcontinue your journey. This part doesn't need a description, but just find your way around, and kill any Headcrab and Zombie you find. You'll end up ina hangar with a boat. Enter the boat, and follow the toxic river.

When you can't go any further, exit near the gate, and go up. Spin the wheelto open the gate. You can also find a Headcrab here, by the way, by breakingthe boxes (including a Supply Box). When you are done playing around, enterthe boat and continue down the river.

<big>chapter 4</big><big>water hazard</big><p align="center">02-04</p>

Follow the river until you find a building. Leave your boat, and follow thestairs. Inside are 2 Zombies, so take care of them. This is station 12, but asyou can see, not much is left of it. Climb the stairs, and follow the planksto find a ladder. Beware of the Headcrab that jumps down. Climb the ladder, and smash the barrel away, so the crate falls down. Go down, and grab thegoodies. Enter the boat again.

Stop when you find a bridge. A man will drop supplies down, so grab them. Leave the boat, and walk to the land ahead of you. Enter the tunnel, and follow it. You'll find blue barrels, which you'll need. Throw them in the water, then jump in the water yourself. When you place a few blue barrelsin the crate, under the structure, the thing will move, and it'llbecome a ramp.

A dropship will drop some Combines, so kill them. Driving over them is a veryeasy solution if you want to save ammo. Leave the boat where the Combines usedto be, and use a barrel to enter the tunnel that's open. If you follow it allthe way, you'll find a Zombie, and supplies. Go back to the boat, and continue down the river. Keep on the left side when you find a ramp, to grabgoodies.

Just keep going, until you find a gate. Go back a bit, and find a place whereyou can walk (it's made of stone). Go up, kill the Combine, and enter thebuilding. Listen to the new speech of Dr. Breen about you. When you are done,enter the next few rooms, and be sure to kill everyone, and grab all the stuffyou need. If you keep opening doors, you'll end up outside again. Toss agrenade to the Combine behind the turret, or just shoot him. Enter the nextbuilding, and kill everyone here. If you go left, and enter the door, you'llbe outside, on the other side of the gate. The wheel doesn't work, so that'snot the way to open the gate. The barrels are, because they'll trigger something to fall towards the gate when they explode. When you did that, goback to the boat, and watch out for the new legion of Combines that enteredthe buildings. Follow the river again.

Eventually you'll end up in an area with a few buildings. Head right here,and find a door with a lock. Shoot the lock away, and enter the door. Inside,you're able to find a Magnum, and when you found it, 3 Combines will rush in.Try the new weapon, I mean, why not? Enter the door, and it's time for anotherhelicopter chasing session. The goal is to enter the next building, and I can't tell you much more. Take cover when needed, and be sure to kill theCombines too, if you encounter them. Enter the new building once you found it,and don't worry, you can't get anywhere else, so you'll find it.

Inside are a few Man Hacks and Combines, so shoot them off. Go up the stairs,and jump over the containers to reach the other side of the room. In the nextroom, blow up the barricade, and keep going, until you are outside. The chopper is still there, so run to safety. Find a ladder, and climb it to getyourself in a small tower. Kill the Combines, and use the turrets to destroythe helicopter. Use the panel to open the gate. Take your boat, and continueusing love. A new helicopter will appear, but this one will also drop mines.Enter the tunnel when you find it.

When you are outside of the tunnel, head left, and just keep going. Ignoreall the shooting etc., but focus on driving. When you see pipes, enter them,even although they don't offer much cover. The reason is, they'll lead to anew area, without any enemies, and if you keep going, you'll end up in atunnel. Keep going from there. Note you might be stuck at the point where you

have to navigate over a few pipes, instead of underneath them. Give it a fewtries, it's possible.

When you find a split, leave the boat. Walk straight ahead, and you'll finda Zombie, and some supplies. A bit back, you can find a ladder on the wall.If you climb it, and jump and walk a bit, you'll end up near some heavy object. Push it down. It'll land in some kind of basket. Drop down yourself,and pull the level. This will lower the basket, and because it's to heavy,you'll create a ramp with some device. Ride to the other side, and you'll finda station.

Leave, and after some talking and walking, the Vortigaunt will create a gunfor your boat. Grab the supplies you can find, and leave the station. Thankthem though, you don't want to be rude. You'll find helicopters and whatnot,but thanks to the gun, they'll be easy to take out. Go, until you find atunnel. Enter it.

<blink>loading</blink>If you keep going, you'll find a 2-split. Take the right path first, and goto the end of the path (also kill the Combine, silly). A Zombie will be here,but also a few Headcrabs. Take them all out, and climb into the small hutfor supplies. Go back, and take the other path. Continue, until you are in anarea with quite some Combines, and barrels that'll be thrown your way. Killthe combines, and go straight forward, take an u-turn, and continue down thepath.

You'll end up in an area with ships, and trucks that'll fire missiles towards you. Enter the containers you see for goodies. Go to the ship that'sin a corner, and leave the boat. Hide under the platform, and find a container. Inside are barrels, which you have to let explode. This will openthe door of the container, and you can take the boat, and follow the path thatway. You'll end up at a ramp, and this allows you to enter a tunnel Follow it.

You'll end up in a big area, and it's time to battle the first boss. It's ahelicopter, but a bit more advanced. He'll start with just shooting at you,so shoot back. After a few rounds, he'll drop mines, and the more he's damaged, the more mines he'll drop. After that, he'll shoot non-stop at you,which means he's almost destroyed. Once you destroyed the helicopter, go tothe gate, and open it.

Care for a little secret? Head towards the two sewer grates. The left one isopen. You can reach it by jumping on top of the airboat. Inside it's full ofacid, so sprint to the end. You'll end up in a room with a Vortigaunt. He'llburp for about 5 minutes and then starts to talk.

Enter the next part, and use the ramp to get up the hill. Find the building,

and kill the Combines outside. Inside are 2 more Combines, but also allot ofgoodies, ranging from ammo to health. Grab all you need, and go outside. Thereshould be one side of the building you didn't visit yet, so go there. Seethe dam? Walk there, and follow the path. You'll end up at a panel.(did you see someone walk by?) If you hit the switch, the dam will open, and you can go through there. Go back tothe boat, and take the ramp, to get through the dam you opened.

Dog will tear open the door, so you can gothrough too. Follow Alyx. After a short walk, the ceiling will come down, andAlyx tells you to go to Ravenholm. Eli told you not to do so, but there isno other way. Follow Dog, and he'll open the door to Ravenholm. Follow thepath, shoot the lock off the grate at the end and you'll end this chapter.

follow the path,shoot the loc from the barricade so that you can get up the ladder.Go straight ahead, and kill the Zombie on the left. Keep going and enter the barn. In the room left of that, more Zombies will appear, so kill them all.You can use your Gravity Gun to pick of razorblades or cans, and throw themat the Zombies. Continue, and take down the 2 new Zombies.

When you keep going, you'll come to an area with a spinning... thing. Go underneath it(crouch), and continue. You'll end up in an area with a Headcrab, and stuff. Break through the barricade in front of the door, but beware of theZombies that'll appear. Outside are even more enemies. Lucky you! Keep going(kill them though, please) and you'll find a room with Zombies and supplies.Get what you want (like, kill the supplies and get the Zombies, although I don't think that's what Valve had in mind when they made this game) and continue.

You'll end up in an area with a big fire. You'll meet Father Grigori, who'll

shoot some Zombies for you. Explore the place a bit for supplies. You'll findZombies who break open a barricade. Inside the room there, are goodies. If youspin the wheel, you'll see the fire goes out. Do this with the 2 other firesthat are near too. You'll find a door, where the big fire used to be. If yougo there, and head upstairs, you'll find a lever. Pull it to put theelectricity down. Note where this place is, and find it. Climb the ladder andgo up there. Jump to the other side, to meet Father Grigori again.

Jump down and find a new room. You can enter it through a window. Inside areeven more enemies, and if you keep going, you'll end up outside again, withquite a lot of Zombies. You don't need to put much effort in killing themthough, because you'll find traps here. If you pull the lever, the car willfall down, and kill anything that's underneath it. This way, you can killall the Zombies. When they are gone, pull the lever of the second car, andgo up, by standing on the car. Find a new room and follow the path.

Keep going, and you'll see Grigori on the other side again, and he'll be shooting Zombies and Headcrabs. Help him a bit, by blowing up all the barrelsyou see. This will kill most of the enemies. Kill the others yourself, and go down. Explore for goodies. There used to be a barrel behind a gate, and ifyou shot it, the gate is blown away, so you can enter it for goodies. Finda ladder and climb it. You can go 2 ways from here. Walk to the end, and headleft, for a Black Headcrab and goodies. Go back, and take the other path.Go down, and continue your walk.

When you are outside, you'll see fast zombies jump around, and one will try to hugyou. Kill it(this game isnt about loving nd caring),and explore a bit. You'll encounter a few enemies, and goodies.When you are done, enter the room with the washing machines. Go upstairs hereand you'll find Grigori again. Be sure to explore the rest of the house beforeyou head to the roof. Grigori will give you a Shotgun. Use it to kill theLeapers that appear. Take a long jump, and jump in the water you see. Climb upand kill more Leapers. Head inside, and call the lift. Once you are down, you'll find a Piggy Tail Zombie, so take care. See the car with the plank onit? Head there. On your way through the alley, you'll find a house with goodies. But just keep going after that.

Someone will throw barrels down. How nice, I'm sure we can use this later. This area will be flooded with Zombies, but if you are quick enough, you canjust ignore most. Go straight ahead, and find a room with a lever. It's bit ofa silly description, but once you pulled the lever, something will move down.Go further to the back of town, and you'll find a way up. Follow it all theway to the end, and that's back to the beginning of this area. Father Grigoriwill be shooting fast zombies, and you should too. Jump to the other side, and

enter new room. Continue the journey, and kill the Zombies on your way.

Take the path up (the one down leads to an area you've already visited), andkill the Headcrabs. Go outside, and simply follow the path. At the end, you'llbe at the other side of the town, so jump down. Walk down the path, and go left when you can. If you follow this path, and keep going, you'll find a door. Open it, and go further to end up at a roof. Father Grigori will bestanding at the other side of the gate, and he'll send a cart, so you can gothere. Until the cart arrives, you'll have to defend yourself against Leapers.Stand near the pipe you see, and just aim down. Kill the fast zombies that keepappearing,(the pipe will shake if a zombie is climbing up)and you shouldn't have any problems. When the cart arrives, enterit and release the handbrake by pulling the lever. On the other side, stepoutside, grab the goodies, and follow Father Grigori.

Just keep following Father Grigori. You'll have various fights with Zombiesand fast zomies, but with Father Grigori on your side, it's not a problem. Eventually, he'll open a gate for you, and you can go to the other side. He'llleave you there.(and die?) Open the door you see, and follow it.

In the next room, slowly go down. Do so by jumping from platform to platform,until you are down in the mine. Don't go down all the way, because there area lot of Headcrabs and Black Headcrabs hereand i mean ALLOT!!.Shoot the barrels, and find aroom with supplies for... well, supplies. Go down, and quickly find the otherplatform. If you follow it, the enemies can't reach you. Keep on shootingbarrels when you see them. You'll go through a tunnel, and at the end is justa big hole. That's right, jump in the hole.

It's swimming time. Hooray! Swim to the other side. If you want goodies, let aBarnacle grab you, and shoot him when he won't pull anymore. You'll land on asmall ledge with goodies. Jump back down. This time, take the other path,which is blocked. You can jump over it though. Do so, and swim to the otherside.

You'll see a lever here. If you pull it, the cart and blade will start to moveand kill everything that comes close. And this means all the Zombies that areon the trail, will get killed. Follow the trail yourself, and don't get hit bythe cart yourself. At the end of the tunnel is light,(no your'e not dead)go there.

Just keep going, and you'll find a house. The front door is jammed, but ifyou go around the house, and smash open the barricade, you'll be able to getin. Explore for goodies. When you're done, continue, to the next house. Inthe small shack are goodies, and in the house are Combines, supplies and adevice that allows you to see a town you'll visit soon. Head back to the buggyand go to the next house. Kill the Combines here, and get any supplies youwant. Now drive to town and leave the Buggy.

Someone will tell you to go to the basement, so do so. You'll get a shortdescription of the RPG, and you'll be the lucky one to use it. It's time fora battle now. With the RPG, you'll have to take down the Gunship. If you'reout of ammo, look around for rockets. You'll find plenty. A medic will alwaysfollow you, in case you get hurt. When the Gunship is destroyed, head back tothe basement, and you'll be thanked. Go to your buggy, and the villagers willopen the gate. Leave the town and keep going.

Continue the driving, and search the houses if you want. Drive, until you seea forcefield that you can't drive through (just like the ones near the trains inchapter 2). Follow the cables, and you'll see it ends up near a car. The caris on a hill, and the blocks near the wheels are there to prevent the car fromrolling down. Use your Gravity Gun to get rid of the blocks, and the car willstart to roll down. This'll cut the power of the field, and you can go through. Doso.

if you want the crossbow,go to a little hil before the forcefieldand it wil be near a dead body

See all the houses? The biggest one is the one you'll need. On the upper floor (reach it by stacking up some stuff near the stairs), you can find a Crossbow. Once you found it, a Poison Zombie will appear, so I suggest toleave as soon as you got it. See the bridge? Good. There are even more fieldshere, so you can't go there with your buggy for now. Find a door near thebridge, and enter it. Follow the path.

The idea is to get to the other side of the bridge. Explore for goodies, butyou'll mainly need those on your way back. Notice the rockets and healthpacks you obviously don't need at this moment. Once you reached the other sideof the bridge, you'll end up in a room with a field. Kill the Combines in here, and use your Gravity Gun to pull the plug out. This will cut the power,and all the fields are down. Also hit the switch. A Gunship will appear, sohead back to the middle of the bridge. There is a crate with rockets here, andthis should be enough to take the Gunship down. Once you did, head back to thebuggy. You'll have to take a different route. Just keep going.

Go go go! When you are outside, you'll see Antlions attack a Piggy Tail Zombie. Try to avoid fighting, and just find your way back to the buggy. You'll probably have to kill a few Antlions and Combines though. Take the buggy to the bridge, and follow the trail. A train will appear on the otherside, but if you use turbo, you should be able to make it without getting hit.Follow the path, and enter the tunnel to end this chapter.

another way to get past here is to put the buggy behind the train and walk towards the other endwhen you hear the train hide underneath the stopped trainonce the train passedgo back to the buggy and cros the bridge without problems

<big>chapter 8</big><big>sandtraps</big><p align="center">02-08</p>

Follow the tunnel, till you reach a bunch of cars. Leave the car, and enter the area on the right for goodies. Go back in the car, drive a bit forth, andquickly go back. Quite a few Zombies will attack, so be ready for them. Whenyou're sure they're all gone, move the cars out of the way, and follow thetunnel again. If you see cars on the road ahead, go a bit right, and followthe path.

you can search for suplies in the houses but on the top floor a few Rolling Mines will appear,so watch out for them. Get back to your buggyand keep going. You'll reach a barricade. Take out the Combines and RollingMines, and explore if you want. Go back in the buggy, and get past the barricade, by just driving straight into it. Easy as that.

You'll end up at a small town that's blocked by a truck. Leave the buggy, andtake cover. A Dropship will arrive, and Combines will start to attack. Shootthem, and then it's hunting time. You'll need batteries to open the gate. Youcan find a few of them, but you only need 2. One is near the bed, one is underneath a bathtub, and another one is on a plate, that you can see by looking up. Shoot bricks at the plate, so it falls down. The battery willfall down too. Once the gate is open, go to your buggy, and continue driving (you can pass the truck on the right side of it). Go through thetunnel.

the combine took it when youre past the shock move onkeep going. You'll find a man who sitson the rocks. He'll warn you not to step on the sand, because the Antlionswill appear when you do. However, his friend will move, and Antlions willappear. Kill themkeep going grab the supply boxes by grabbing them with the g-gundo NOT walk on the sand.After a while, you'll reach a small puzzle. Onone side the a big wooden structure, is a box. If you remove it, you'll be able to continue, since the thing will move up. You can go 2 ways from here.

One of the paths will bring you to a shack. Go there for supplies. The otherwill bring you further, towards Nova Prospekt. After some jumping, you won'tfind any rocks anymore. Do you need to run through the sand? No, please don'tdo that. Grab 2 things you can stand on. Boxes, plates, whatever suits you.Place one in front of you, and step on it. Grab the other one, and step onthat one. Turn around, and place the previous object in front of you. It'lltake a while this way, but at least you're safe. You can explore the houses,or just go straight ahead. Whatever you want.if you take the safe way it will take about an half hour,keep in mind that i was stupid enough to get as far away from the exit as possible so it took more time

Once you reached the other side of the beach, and go over the small hill,you'll see a lot of sand, and almost no objects. Just jump down, and you'llhave to battle a Antlion Warrior. No big deal. Just run around, keep strafing,and shoot, shoot, shoot! He'll summon Antlions, but just ignore them. If youfocus on the Antlion Warrior, he'll be down real soon.

Killed it? Good. A Vortigaunt will appear, and will open the Antlion Warriorfor you. You can now grab the Pheropod, also known as Bug Bait. Follow theVortigaunt into the base, and he'll explain how to use the Pheropod. He'llopen a gate for you. Follow the path.

now the antlions are no longer your enemy'sbut your slaves(dont even think about that kind of slaves its not going to happen!)keep in mind tat antlions fear those thumpers so shut them downtry not to waste allot of ammo on the combines use your antlion slaves insteadif one gets killed its not a big deal,more will get summoned.After a while, you can't go any further down the beach. You'll simply get shot. Look to the left, and you'll see a hill. If you follow that hill, youcan continue. You'll find a building, with a few Man hacks and Combines. Killthem, and leave the building on the other side. Keep going a bit further, andenter the bunker you see. Quite a few Combines will start to attack you, soshoot them off. Be sure the Antlions are helping you too. Once most of themare dead, head in that direction, and just follow the path.

If you see a big pipe, you're at the right place. Find a path here, and keepfollowing it. You'll find a camp, with 2 Zombies. Kill the zombies, and hit

the 2 wooden poles. This will create a little path for you, so just follow it.Eventually you'll find a tunnel, with a fast zombie inside. Enter the tunnel.

This is a tough area, so take care. Move slowly, and let the Antlions do thework for you. First, take out the Combines on the towers. After that, go upa level, and kill the Combines here. If you move further, a Gunship willappear. There is a crate with unlimited ammo waiting a bit further, and if youlet the Antlions do the distraction, you'll be able to make it. However, if you take too long, another Gunship will appear (it'll appear anyway, don't getme wrong), and you'll have to battle two of them. If you destroyed them, orif you're sick of it, find a crack in the wall. Open it up with a grenade orrocket, and go in. Spin the wheels to turn of the gas, and continue down thepath.

<big>chapter 9</big><big>nova prospect</big><p align="center">02-09</p>

Continue, and you'll see you're in a prison. Head down, and notice how theturrets will shoot your legion of Antlions. Find a whole in the wall, and gothrough it. Just watch out for the Headcrab. Destroy the turrets by using theGravity Gun against them (or blow stuff in the direction, so they'll fallover). Go up the stairs, and destroy more turrets. Note your Antlion slaveswill join you.

Find a room with supplies, and a screen on the wall. You can switch betweencameras for various fun.(note the guy wlking bye)Continue, and you'll find 2 rooms. They containsupplies, but also watch out for the turrets. Go to the next room.

There is water here, hooray! If you're thirsty, go ahead and drink. Crossthe room, and just keep going. You'll end up in a hall. Headcrabs will comedown when you get close to the door, so watch out. Enter the next room.

You'll see 2 Turrets, but also a radiator on the wall. You can grab it withyour Gravity Gun, and use it as a shield. And as weapon too. Wow. Don't youlove how multi-functional the objects are? Continue your way up.

Blow up a barricade if you find one. Note the room on the right is pretty...dead. Dead bodies and whatnot. If you jump down, you'll have to battle anAntlion Warrior. Kill it, you should know how. After the battle, find abarricade in front of double doors. Remove it, and enter the next room.

Quite some enemies here, so be sure to use your unlimited supply of Antlions.If you keep going, you'll find a force field, and a Vortigaunt that's tortured. Remove the plug with the Gravity Gun. You'll find a lever here. If

you pull it, you'll open a gate. Go through that gate.

If you keep going, you'll end up in a control room. Use the monitor if youlike, but the main objective is to find a red button. If you use it, thegates below will open. Go through these gates and follow the path.

You'll be in a room with turrets behind a force field. Find a shaft, and gothrough it. You'll be in a room with a big fan. Grab something with yourGravity Gun, and walk towards the fun. This will cause the fan to be stuck.Don't throw things, that won't work. Continue, and take down the turrets onyour left, so the Antlions can pass. Find the new room. You'll find new Combines. Hooray! As long as you let theAntlions fight, you'll be fine. You'll have to go up the stairs after a while,and eventually end up in a control room. Hit the switch to open the gate, andgo there. Follow the path.

You'll find another room with a monitor and supplies. Head further, and destroy the turret (radiator on the wall, keep that in mind). If you keepgoing, you'll end up in a room with big washing machines. Kill everyone inhere. If you want extra supplies, head right, into a dark small alley. You'llfind supplies here, but also a Poison Zombie. When you're done, followthe path upstairs.

You'll end up in the kitchen, where are even more turrets. Take them down, andcontinue. You'll find a control room, and below looks dead again. Jump down,and battle the Antlion Warrior.it will be chasing so before killing the combine try to keep them allivewhen one of both party's is dead proceed killing the other When it's dead, grab anything you need, andfind a barricade. Blow it away, and follow the path.

Kill the Zombie, and just keep going. You'll see an entrance in the wall onthe left after a while. Grab the barrel, step on it, and go there.

<big>chapter 10</big><big>entanglement</big><p align="center">02-10</p>

if you keep going you will meet alyx again.finally some human company to kill combine just follow her and you will end up in a roomalyx will find her father in he database.

Enter the door she opens. If you want supplies, enter the room left, butwatch out for the Headcrabs. Continue, and you'll find a gate that's closed.Alyx will open it for you though. Keep going, and you'll find an office, and

a gate. Go to the gate, and Alyx will find out it's jammed. Head to the office, and blow the closets away. Enter the shaft, but watch out for theHeadcrabs in there.

On the other side is an area with quite some Headcrabs. Kill them all, andwatch out for the Laser Mine underneath the shaft. Keep going (Alyx will openanother gate), killing Combines and destroying Turrets. You'll find a forcefield, and no visible plugs. Is that a problem? No. There are quite someGrenades here, so throw one in the room. This will unplug the cable, and youcan continue.

You'll end up in a room where Alyx will tell you you'll have to defendyourself. Set up the Turrets somewhere safe, and hide. You'll be attacked byCombines and Man Hacks. If a Turret falls over, just grab it and put it upagain.

After that, Alyx will appear, and she'll find out Mossman is a traitor. Alyxis pissed, and will tell you to hurry up. She'll disable the force fields, soyou can go there now. Go down the stairs, and you'll end up in a small roomwith a few Headcrabs. If you keep going, you'll enter a room with water that'sanything but safe to stand in. When you do, you'll get electrified, so becareful. Navigate using pipes, and when you can't seem to go any further, think back of the Sandtraps chapter. Yes, you can use the blue barrels toreach the other side of the room.

When you reached it, and enter the next room, you'll find a few Zombies. Killthem all. You can find supplies here, but when you're done, head up thestairs you find. All the way up are supplies, but you'll able to able to finda door. Open it, and blow up the barricade.

In this room, go up and kill the Combines. Jump down, and it's time to defendyourself again. You'll have 3 Turrets. It's a bit based on luck, becausesometimes they'll throw a lot of grenades, and the other time none. Anyway, when you survived, Alyx will pop up. Follow her.the way i tried it was to turn tho two outer turrets around so that they face the hallthen i stand in the middle box and i pick up the third turret with my g-gunthe combine who come close will get shot by the two turrets on the side and they cant knock them down since they are in a small box

In the next room (open the door yourself, Alyx will follow YOU now, not theway around), the lights will go out, and Combines will attack. Shoot them,and follow Alyx again. Alyx will trap the room where Mossman is in, and you'llboth head there. Don't worry, you're safe from Combines for now.

Once you are there, Alyx and Dr. Mossman will have a chat. Dr. Mossman is abitch, that's for sure. You'll enter the next room, and Alyx will find her

father. When she sends him through the teleporter, Dr. Mossman will quicklyjump in there too.

Not just that, Combines will attack too. Grab the turrets, and set them up. This attack isn't hard to survive, because Alyx will be shooting too. Whenthe teleporter is powered up, quickly enter it to leave this place. Note howthings blow up when you leave.

You'll be in Dr. Kleiner's lab again, and when he finds you (yes, Lamarr isthere too), he'll say you've been gone for a week. How nice. Listen to therest of the story (including how rebels started to destroy the city), thenfollow Dog. Dr. Kleiner is too busy finding Lamarr again, and Alyx doesn'twant to leave him behind. Jump down the elevator shaft.

<big>chapter 11</big><big>anticitezen zone</big><p align="center">02-11</p>

Just follow the path. If you want, you can jump on the green containers you see, and use a box to get up a level. You can find supplies here. When you aredone, continue, and Dog will do his tricks. He'll throw with cars, jumparound and whatnot. Really fun to watch, and probably the best thing you'llsee in Half-Life 2. Anyway, he'll open a gate for you.note that some combine will come out of a store,do NOT get their weaponsdog will ram the combine tank in there so if youre picking up guns there you will a new red paint on the wall

When you enter, a Dropship will appear, and Dog will take care of it. However,he'll fly away with the Dropship, so wave him goodbye. Go over the fence, andfollow the path. Recognise this place? You've been here in chapter 1. Walkover the rubbish you see.

if you get in the building note the televisionIf you keep going, you'll see someone shooting at the Drones. He's a rebel,and he'll join you. If you continue, you'll end up at the plaza. Other rebelswill take down the big screen. After that, they'll all join you, which isgood. If you wait a bit, Combines will attack, but also open a gate for you.Kill them, then go through the gate, into the alley.

You'll see a plate, and someone who'll warn about the Hoppers. Remove theplate, and disarm the Hoppers (grab them with your Gravity Gun, then putthem gently down). Do this too when you encounter them in the next areas, I'mnot going to point them all out. If you just keep going, you'll end up onthe streets. Don't worry about the Strider, but focus on the Combines on the

other side. Follow the street, and you'll see an alley on the right. Go thatway. You'll end up in an area with a small house. Find a door you can enter,so you can continue.

You can take 2 paths here; up the stairs, for 2 Zombies and ammo for yourMagnum, and one that leads to the streets. Take the one to the streets whenyou're done playing around. Drones will fly around, so take care. See thefire? If you head there, you can find new members for your squad. If youlook around, you'll find a small alley. If you head there, you'll find a new room.

Explore it all for supplies, and eventually you should see a room below you,with turrets. Head there. From here, you can go outside, and have some funwith the Combines. They'll just keep coming though, so find a shop on theleft side of the street. From here, you can cross the broken street, and getto the other side of it. Once you reached it, cross the street, and enterthe door. This will lead to a new building.

Find the stairs, and go down (up is only a turret). If you keep going, you'llend up in a room with 3 turrets. Be sure to destroy them quickly, because yoursquad members don't seem to be too smart when it comes to turrets. You canjump down here. However, watch your back, because a Zombie is behind you.Follow the hall.

You'll end up under a bridge, and you can find a few new members. As you walkunderneath the bridge, Man hacks will attack. Destroy them, and just keepgoing. You'll find a door, with a lock on the other side. Shoot the lock off,and continue. In the new area, you'll be attacked by even more Man hacks andCombines. If you reach the end of the tunnel, you'll find a member, who'llblow up the barricade. You'll need to defend yourself until this happens fromMan hacks and Combines. You have a turret to control though, but I doubt it'llbe of much use. Once you can go through, do so.

The man will tell you the door is locked from the other side. Perhaps you canfind another way. Sure, whatever. Gordon Freeman to the rescue. See the smallhole? Enter it. You'll end up in an area with quite some toxic stuff. Not justthat, but Zombies too. You should know how to cross the place. Use yourGravity Gun and the stuff around you. Once you reached the small platform inthe middle, quite some Zombies will attack. Just reach the end of the roomalive, and find a pipe. You can walk on it. From there, enter the shaft, anddrop down. You'll eventually find the door that was locked from the otherside. If you open it, the man will join you, so I guess it'll be a gooddecision. Continue your journey, by walking up the stairs.

You'll be outside again, and you'll see those capsules drop down. One willdrop down in your area. Inside are fast Headcrabs, so take them down. Ah yes,another member will join you. If you continue, you'll meet up with a member,who is on the other side of a gate. He'll alert the rest you are coming, andtell you to keep going. Do as he wishes.

If you enter the building, you'll get attacked from outside.I suggest to justignore the Combines for now, because they only cost ammo, and are hard to hitbecause of the jail-like windows. If you continue, you'll end up at the otherside of the gate the man talked from. From here, find the next door you canenter. Just continue (you can't get lost), and you'll end up at the other side of a building, with a bridge that's closed (or is it open?). Someone willopen it for you (or close it?), so you can go to the other side. Close it as soon as everyone reached the new building, because Combines will appear fromthe building you used to come from.

Once again, keep going (if you find this boring to read, imagine how it is forme to write) until you find a capsule. Not the one on the stairs, but one ina normal room you can reach. Inside are fast Headcrabs and a fast Zombie.You can jump down, but watch out for the fast Zombie, that's on fire. It'ssafe for now ;p

Eventually you'll be outside again. Yea, sure, Combines and stuff. Just findthe building with rubbish in it. On the upper floor here are new members, andCombines, that'll attack from the other side of the bridge. I suggest to openthe bridge, to prevent them from throwing Grenades. Once you killed them, cross the bridge, and just keep going. This includes going down, and up again,by using the stairs.

Guess what, you need to get going and find your way. You'll find a room withZombies and turrets. Wait for the turrets to shoot down the Zombies, then godown and destroy the turrets. Once you did this, Alyx will come in. Hooray!Note the health and suit chargers.

There is only one way to go, so I leave it up to you (note, it's the path youtake by leaving the room, taking a left and following the hall). More chargersare here, but I doubt you'll need it. You'll find 2 doors, and Alyx will tellyou to open the other one. Inside are Super Combines, but they aren't as hardas they look.

Alyx will talk about generators. She'll take down the shields, you'll shootit with the Gravity Gun, and during the waiting, you'll have to protect her.Sure, why not? Head outside.

It's time to defend Alyx. Luckily, you should still have a small army ofrebels, so it's not that hard. Combines will come in from 2 sides, but they'llalso send Man hacks. Move the Hoppers around if you want, but I prefer to pickthem up, and throwing them away. Do what you want, but make sure both you and

Alyx stay alive. When she revealed the core, shoot it with your Gravity Gun.After this, Alyx will open the gate. Follow her.

Alyx will close the gate again, and look for a way around, since the bridge isbroken. She ends up in the hands of the Combine, and tells you to run away.Jump down, grab the goodies, and find an entrance. Follow the path.

Jump down, and you'll end up in a room, where Man hacks will attack you. Destroy them, and climb the pipe (you may need to stack things up). You'llencounter more Man hacks, and a shaft. Enter the shaft, and enter the otherside of the room. Even more Man hacks are here, and 2 ways to go. The one withdead rebels is the one you want to take for goodies. The other is the oneyou'll take if you want to continue.

Combines are shooting Zombies in this room. Kill them all, and head down. Onceagain, you can take 2 paths here. You can climb a ladder almost all the waydown, and find goodies. However, when you're done, find a double door, thatseems to be blocked. Open the door next to it. Watch out, because a poisonHeadcrab is inside. Use your Gravity Gun to remove the plank, which is blocking the door. You can now open the double door and continue.

In the next room, Combines will be shooting Zombies. Just toss a few Grenadesdown to take care of both. Don't go down yet, but follow the path. You'll findgoodies (and poison Headcrabs) at the end. Go down after that, and find anentrance. Once again, there are 2 paths to take. If you just keep walking,you'll encounter a Poison Tail Zombie, but also goodies. Climb the ladder whenyou're done playing. Just keep going until you end up in a room where nothingis heard. No music, no sounds...

Work your way up, over the catwalk. Someone will toss a Grenade down, andlucky for him, there are also explosive barrels near. The catwalk will bedestroyed. You can still get to the house you see though. I suggest doing so,unless you want to stay there forever. Patch yourself up, and pull the lever.The platform will come down, but you'll also get attacked by Combines whileyou're waiting. Once the platform arrived, pull the lever again, and stand onthe platform. Guess what, Combines will attack while you are riding the thingup.

Find a ladder, and climb it. After that, walk over the pipe. Once you are up,walk over the thing that carried you up (the yellow bar). You can get on thecatwalk, and find a ladder. The ladder leads to 2 levels. The upper one contains goodies, and a few explosive barrels. The other one allows you to goto the other side of the room, and jump down, onto some kind of balcony. Watchout for the hopper though. Continue to end this chapter.

You'll find a man, who'll tell you Snipers are up ahead. Yeeeeh! Don't we lovethem? Open the door, and run, hide, run, hide etc. Once you can take a pathright, don't do so, but beware of the sniper that's shooting from there. Takedown the sniper that bugged you since the beginning with a Grenade. This is needed to be done later anyway. Go back to the other path, and quickly findthe door, and enter it.

Inside are fast zombies and Headcrabs. Find a way down, into the water. Find a man,and he'll tell you the place is infested. Really? Take down the Zombies, andcontinue (ah, yes, kill those fast headcrabs too). You can head up, on the roof ofthe building.

A Sniper will be shooting the Zombies down. Let him do his work, because it'llsave work for you. When he's done, throw a Grenade in his hideout. Boom! Thereis one Sniper left, behind Barney's hiding place. See the green cabinet? Youcan use it as shield, because you won't reach Barney without it. Beware of theBlack Headcrabs though. Once you reached Barney, take down the Sniper, and follow Barney (I thought the chapter was about following Freeman, my bad!).He'll open the gate. Enter the building.

Keep going, and you'll encounter Combines and Turrets. Take them down. If youhead a bit further, you'll get new members. Barney will tell you about thebuilding you need to enter. It's a bank, museum or whatever (those are his words, not mine). You can see it on the other side of the street. Lots of Combines, eh? Continue, and a camera will spot you. From now on, I suggestrunning. Go down, and you'll be outside.

You'll be shot from above, with big lasers, that do quite some splash damage.Don't look down, look up! Get past the container, and find a door. Enter thebuilding. You're not safe, however, because inside are Combines. Kill them,patch yourself up, and open the door.

See the bunker ahead of you? Head there, and kill the Combine inside. Take amoment to breath, then run to the other side, and enter the building. Stillnot safe, because you'll find quite some Combines. Shoot them, then break thelock to safe the rebels. Once again, patch yourself up, and open the otherdoor.

It's time for a little fight. Take down all the Combines, and find a smallforce field (which is on the other side). You can unplug the cable, and enterthe building. Go up the stairs and walk down the hall.

Open the double door. See the blue lasers? When you touch them, Pop-up Turretswill... pop-up, and you'll need to lob a Grenade inside to kill them. Do so.In the next room, Barney will tell you the objective is to take down 3

Generators in this building. This will take down all the force fields. Waitfor the Combines to attack, then find the blue lasers. Touch them, and takedown the 2 Pop-up Turrets. More Combines will join the fun, so watch out forthem. Give them a warm welcome.

Keep going, and Barney will save a few new rebels. Find Pop-up Turrets, andtake them both down. Inside the room, you'll find a Generator. You should knowhow to destroy it. If you don't know, it's easy. Just fire at it with yourGravity Gun. From here, you can take 2 paths, each leading to a Generator.Take the path right from the first Generator first.

You'll end up in a room, and you'll be surrounded by Combines. Place the Hoppers near the door, and protect yourself. There are enough goodies to survive. Once they are killed, you can take the door they destroyed themselves. You'll end up at the second Generator. Destroy it.

Now go back to the first Generator, and take the other path. You'll find aroom with red lasers. When you touch them, turrets will start to shoot at you.You can avoid touching them, by climbing the pipes and whatnot. There may beone point you can't find anything to climb. Remember the beginning of the room? Just imagine you are there, and look to the right. There were lasersthere. Reach the other side of them, and on that platform, with the lasers,you can climb. From there, you should be able to jump to the other side andcontinue. Find the switch, and touch it to disable the lasers. Barney willjoin you. Find the last Generator, and destroy it.

Go back to the main room, and kill the Combines that are rushing in. After they are killed, follow Barney. He'll open a door, and tells you to go through. He'll stay there. Go up the stairs.

You'll end up outside. Battle the Combines, and wait for a Gunship to arrive.The Gunship will be shooting rebels, so it's very easy to take down. Once youdid that, Combines will open a gate, which allows you to go through. Keepgoing, and you'll find a closed bridge. Open it with the panel, and then goto the other side. Jump down when you need to.

Go down the stairs, and a woman will tell you there is a box of rockets in the middle of the plaza. From there, you should be able to take out the Striders. Sure, whatever you say chief.

Head outside, and go straight ahead. Find the spot where the floor is exploded, and head down there. You'll see a small tunnel with health. However,a new Strider will pop up, so be sure to first wait for it to pass. When youare sure it's safe, go out, and head up. Remember the bunker, and I told youto run to the next building? Find that building. Inside is health, and rockets. It's a good time to start shooting. Take your time, because the

Striders can damage you fast, and hard.

When you're out of ammo, head to the bunker. You can't find the unlimited ammohere, but there is enough ammo to take at least one Strider down. When you'reout of ammo, head out of the bunker (not towards the building you just left),and from there, head right. If you look around, you'll find the box withunlimited rockets. Take down the Striders. Once you did that, Combines will open the gate. Kill them, and go there. Find the stairs that lead down, andfollow the path.

Once you are outside again, I suggest you run. Actually, RUN LIKE YOU AREBEING CHASED BY HELL. A Strider will join the party, that's why. As soon asyou can go left, do so. Enter the building. Kill the Combines inside, andgrab the goodies. Now go up, and find a floor that came down. Go up from there, and find a place to hide. Wait for the Strider to destroy something,which'll allow you to go up another level. Walk over the bars, and find thestairs. There is unlimited ammo here, so take down the Strider. After that,go back to the stairs, and take the other path. Jump down when you need to.

Break open the door. You'll find a new member for your crew. Head outside, andrun straight forward. Jump down in the hole. This area is full of enemies,including Striders. Inside the hole, kill the Combines. You'll get a few moremembers. Find a way out of the hole, and head that way. You'll see a shop witha few Super Combines. Shoot them, then find the next hole. It's not a big one,but it'll do for now. Kill the Combines, and come out of the hole. Go aroundthe corner, and take cover. Wait for the Strider to throw away some cars, thenrun underneath it, and jump in... right, the hole.

Things will blow up, and Combines will appear from everywhere. Shoot them alloff, then find a way out. From here, it's the same thing over and over again;kill Combines, continue, kill Combines. I'm sure you'll manage. Once you founda dead end, wait for a while. Just shoot the Combines or something. After ashort while, the wall will get blown up, and you can continue. If you continue, you'll end up at some roof, with a box full of rockets. You know what to do. Take down those Striders! If you need to recharge your suit, andneed health, head down the stairs. You can find rechargers on the wall nearby.

When the Striders are gone, go back to the roof (in case you weren't therealready), and find bars you can walk on. From there, you can jump down to thestreets. Do so. Barney, Dog and some other rebels will be battling Combines.Help them, and then Dog will open a new path for you. Head there, and walkdown the tunnel.

You'll find yourself outside the citadel. The only way down is by jumping fromrock to rock. Watch out for a Headcrabs. Ah, who cares, there is health nearbyanyway. Find a way in. Just keep going (you can't get lost), until you findthe same capsules as Eli was captures in. There are 2 each time, but the rightone will lead to dead. Not something you want, right? Sprint to the other sideof the room, and use the capsule that goes away from the electric zapper (orwhatever it is). By using it, you'll enter it.

All your weapons will be taken from you, but your Gravity Gun will be upgraded. You can now use it to lift heavy things and kill enemies. It givesquite a lot of fun. Continue, and you'll find a charger. This charger willheal you, and also charge your suit (to 200 points). While you keep going,Dr. Breen will give various speeches. Listen to them, and keep going.

Eventually, you'll end up in a room with a beam. Note how much fun it is tothrow a Combine in there. Find the elevator here and use it. You'll end up ina room with a force field. You can pull the cores of the generators towardsyou, and fire them off. Do so. This will kill the Combines, and disable thepower field. Continue.

Just keep going, and you'll end up in a new room. Find the switch to call theelevator. While you are waiting, defend yourself. It's never been so much funwith the new gun. When the elevator arrives, step onto it, and go up. You'llhave to defend yourself from attacks. When you are all the way at the top,remove the core to lower the field.

Once again, just keep going, until you see a long hall below you. Jump down,and move towards the end of the hall. You'll see a strider, but at the veryend, you'll also see cores. Remove the cores and quickly enter the room below,once the field is down.

Heal and recharge if needed, and continue. You'll find a capsule. Use it, andenjoy the ride. Note you'll see things you never saw before (like the realCombine, which looks like a big fat slug). You'll go all the way to the topof the citadel.

A lot of yadayada from here. Dr. Mossman will save the day, and Dr. Breen will

take your Gravity Gun, and shoot at you. This causes you to get free. Wait abit longer, and Alyx will open the elevator. Follow her.

You'll end up in a room with panels. More talking, and I won't spoil it thismuch for you. Grab your Gravity Gun back. Alyx will tell you to destroy the core of the generator, and she'll open the lift for you. Take the lift down.

From here, it's hard to describe what to do. You'll need to walk around, anduse moving platforms to get up. Don't worry, I don't think you can be tooslow (I'm sure that a relief for some of you =p). Once you reached the top,the teleportation will start. First, shoot the choppers that are flying aroundwith the cores. Once they are destroyed, shoot cores towards the teleporter.You'll need to shoot away all the shields, and then shoot the light. This willcause the teleportation to be destroyed, and you finished the game.

G-man will stop time, and you'll see how the generator explodes. I guess Alyxwill die, but who knows. G-man will put you to sleep again, and tells you he'll wake you for your next assignment. End of game.
