Notes: H685/H820/H685m are all from E-Lins. Here we use H685m as PPTP Server. Users can use other device to be replaced. Step 1) PPTP Server Side Configuration – H685m 1.1) Confirm H685m can be online if it uses WAN CELL Network. Please follow the H685m manual for the

details.

1.2) Configure PPTP Server.

1.3) Configure PPTP Server Router’s Static Routing for PPTP Client.



Step 2) PPTP Client Side Configuration – H685/H820 2.1) Confirm H685/H820 can be online if it uses WAN CELL Network. Please follow the H685/H820 manual

for the details.

2.2) Configure the PPTP



2.3) H685/H820 will connect the PPTP Server, and get an assigned PPTP IP.

2.4) In the system log, it indicates the remote IP address (PPTP Server IP).



From the PPTP Server Router H685m, it indicates the PPTP client in the status page.

2.5) Configure the NAT (Port forwarding).



2.6) try ping from PPTP Client to PPTP Server. Check if can be through.

Also try ping from PPTP Server to PPTP client. Check if can be through.


Step 3) Create TCP Server at the PC1.

Step 4) Create TCP Client at the PC2.

4.1) create TCP Client




4.2) Connect TCP link. Click the “Connect” button.



Once the TCP link is connected, the “Connect” button will change to “Disconnect”.


Once it’s connected, the TCP Server will display the links.

Step 5). Send some data between TCP Client and TCP Server via PPTP

5.1) Send some data from TCP Client to TCP Server via PPTP.

The TCP Server side will receive the data from the TCP Client.




5.2) Send some data from TCP Server to TCP Client via PPTP.

The TCP Client side will receive the data from the TCP Server.



With the above test, it passes the feature test of NAT(Port Forwarding) via PPTP.
