    TheProrouteH685shouldbeinstalledandconfiguredcorrectlybeforeputtingtheunitintoservice.TheinstallationandconfigurationshouldbedonebyatrainedandcompetentITengineer.NOTE:DONOTCONNECT/DISCONNECTTHEPOWERCABLEWHENTHEPOWERISSWITCHEDONASTHISMAYDAMAGETHEUNIT

    1.4 SIMCardTheProrouteH685hasaremovablepanelonthereverseoftheunitwhichissecuredby2screws.ToinstalltheSIMremovethepanel,inserttheSIMcard,whichcanonlybeplacedoneway,intotoholderandpushtheholderdownintopositionensuringthatithasproperlymadecontact.Ifanyforceisneededthenthereissomethingwrong;recheckyouhavetheSIMorientationcorrect.NOTE:NEVERINSERTTHESIMCARDWHENTHEPOWERISSWITCHEDONORYOUMAYPERMANENTLYDAMAGETHEUNIT

    The Proroute H685has2optionsforconnectingapowersupply,viathemainspowerAC/DCadapterprovidedwiththeunitorviathedesignatedpinsontheconnectorprovided.Theconnectorcanalsobeusedtoresettheunitorconnectdata:14~24AWGisrecommended.Pleaserefertothetable24fortheinterfacedefinitionofthepowercableandconnectionsequence.

    Itisrecommendedthattheconnectionstotheconnectorblockbemadewhentheblockisremovedfromtheunittopreventprovidingintermittentpowertotheunitduringinstall.Whenallwiresaresecuredtheconnectorcanbeplacedintoposition Notes:Thecablesinsulatingstripinglengthisapprox.7mm.

    1.6 Grounding

    Toensureasafe,stableandreliableoperationtheRoutermustbegroundedproperly.

    1.7 Powersupply

    ProrouteH685isdesignedtooperateincomplexenvironmentswherethepowerrangecanbeverylarge.Toimprovethestabilityofthesystem,Prorouteincorporatesadvancedpowermanagementtechnology.However,theDCpowersupplystillneedscarefulattentionandclearunderstandingastothebehaviourofthesupply.Oncethelevelshavebeenestablishedandtesteditisalwaysbesttokeeptheminthistestedrangefordevicestability.

    Proroute input power supply is +7+ 30V, the standard configuration is 12V/1A.

    1.8 LEDFunctionsAftertheAntennaandPowerareconnectedinsertavalidSIMcardandpowerontheProtouteseriesfollowingtheinstructionsprovidedpreviously.DuringthestartupsequencetheSYSLEDwillblinkforafewseconds,thisindicatesthesystemstartupisnormal;followingthisiftheCELLLEDflashesandthenremainsonconstantlythisindicatesthenetworkisonline;iftheVPNlightisonconstantly,thisindicatestheVPNtunnelhasbeensetup.ThetablebelowsummarisestheLEDindicationlights.
