2. Get access
1. Get access by contacting the Parts Centre on email: [email protected]
2. When you have received login and password, you can access EasyParts and login on:
https://easyparts.johnsoncontrols.com
3. Click on SERVICES and then on Oil Analysis – enhanced to access the oil analysis system.
4. You are redirected to the Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis. Enter your email and password for
the oil analysis system to log in.

3. Register your compressor
Register your compressor by creating an asset in the oil analysis system before you make the oil
analysis.
1. Click on Assets to register a compressor. An asset is a record of a single compressor, where
all relevant information is registered.
2. Select a relevant assigned account (e.g. H37 5008217 11).
Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration Parts Centre
Oil analysis 2020-07 Page 6 | 23
3. Click on Create to create a new asset.
Please note! There has to be an asset for every single compressor, in order to get the full
potential out of the oil analyses. Reuse the asset every time you make an oil analysis for the
compressor.
4. Choose Compressor in the drop-down menu and click Create.
Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration Parts Centre

5. Fill in the Asset Editor form with all relevant information.
Mandatory fields are marked with red warnings:
In the following, we exemplify through text and screen dumps how to fill in the Asset Editor form (our recommendations).
Asset Class Always choose Compressor from the drop-down menu.
Unit ID is the local identification number or code of the compressor. The customer (SABROE screw comp. No. 3 or similar may be used) normally chooses unit id.
Asset Description field is the headline. We think customer name and site of the installation will be appropriate (e.g. Nestlé, Graz in Austria).
You can leave these fields empty.

Lubricant field has a drop-down menu with several Mobil oils, SABROE oils and Third Party oils. NB! For third party oils Choose the third party oil with relevant viscosity in the drop-down menu. Type the specific name of the oil (e.g. Sabroe S68) in the field Alternate Name – this field will appear, when a third party oil is chosen. The alternate name of the oil will be visible in the header of the report.
Find a list of commonly used JCI Third Party oils and their corresponding viscosity in the appendix on the last pages (click to follow the link).
Manufacturer is the equipment (compressor) manufacturer. Choose manufacturer from the drop-down menu. For Johnson Controls compressors, please pick one of the following:
JOHNSON CONTROLS FRICK
JOHNSON CONTROLS SABROE (use SABROE for GRAM compressors as well).
JOHNSON CONTROLS YORK
NOT LISTED (if the manufacturer is not in the menu. If this option is chosen, the field Alternate Manufacturer will appear).
Alternate Manufacturer Just add manufacturers name in the field. This field only appears, if NOT LISTED is chosen in the preceding field Manufacturer.
Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration Parts Centre
Oil analysis 2020-07 Page 9 | 23
Model – choose option NOT LISTED. Then the field Alternate Model will appear.
Alternate Model – we recommend you just list the model name as free text in this field.
Component Type – choose the relevant options from the drop-down menu.
You can leave these fields empty.
Serial Number – just add serial number of the compressor in this field.

You can leave these fields empty.
Comments is the place to add sample point description and directions of what you consider important.
Click Save in the bottom of the form in order to complete registration of the compressor in the Asset Editor.
6. Now the compressor is registered and the oil analysis system is ready to receive and process
oil analyses for this specific compressor.

4. Sample registration Make the oil sample of the compressor. Fill it in the bottle (max. temperature 93oC) NB Make sure the bottle is not overfilled.
There are two ways to register your oil sample in the oil analysis system (click on the links):
Manual registration of the oil sample.
Mobile app registration

4.1. Manual registration 1. Go to https://easyparts.johnsoncontrols.com/EasyParts to access the oil analysis system with
your email and passwords (for more details, see under Get access).
2. Click on Assets in the main menu.
3. Choose the relevant account in the drop down menu.
Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration Parts Centre
Oil analysis 2020-07 Page 13 | 23
4. Find the relevant asset and click on the button In Service Oil Sample to register the barcode
of a new oil sample (it does not matter if it is red or grey). N.B. Sort the assets (records) with these icons
5. Fill in the In Service Oil Sample form with all relevant information.
Mandatory field for bar code is marked with a red warning. The asset might be edited if necessary, e.g. if you change to a different type of oil/lubricant.

In the following, we exemplify through text and screen dumps how to fill in the In Service Oil Sample form (our recommendations).
Date Sampled Default date is today's date. Always change to the date of the sample.
Sample Bottle Barcode ID is the only mandatory field in this form. Scan or type the barcode of the sample.
These fields are optional but the more data you add to your oil samples, the better and more useful the results of your oil analyses will be over time. We have filled in the fields, but it is only an example.

4.2. Mobile app registration 1. Download the following app to your mobile:
Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis Sample Scan app
2. Now you are ready to register the bottle with the oil sample in the oil analysis system. Scan the QR code on the bottle with your mobile.
3. Choose the button No Asset to Scan, if you do not have a QR code for the asset.
4. The system redirects you to the Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis. Enter your email and password to log in.

5. If you have registered an asset for the compressor in advance: - Select the correct asset in the menu on your mobile OR - Scan the QR code on the label on the compressor (requires that the compressor is registered as an asset in advance of the first oil analysis. Each compressor only has to be registered as an asset once. When registered it is possible to print a label of the compressor asset with a unique QR code).
Now you are ready to send the sample. Click on the link to view guide of how to pack and send your oil sample after registration. Including correct address label.

4.3. How to pack and send your oil sample after registration 1. Wrap the sample bottle in the bubble wrap or a plastic bag.
2. Apply the address label on the envelope.
NB Please make sure to use the pre-printed label from Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis. If you need a contact person for the shipment: Ms. Bianca Groenendijk / Tel. +31 10 4961085
3. Put the sample in the envelope and make sure the envelope is well closed.
IMPORTANT! If you send more bottles together, please wrap them in separate plastic bags to avoid contamination of the samples.

5. Oil analysis results and reports You will get a notification email, when the result of the oil analysis is ready. There will be a direct link to the oil analysis system in the email. Click on Sample Reports to view the result of the oil analysis.
Click on the relevant report under Results Found. If you make many oil analyses, you can specify your search criteria under the arrow.
