To help you enjoy your stay to the full, we have put together this ‘Rock Farm Guest Guide’ – we
want you to arrive ready to relax and enjoy this beautiful and tranquil part of Meath.
When to Arrive – Check in
Arriving in the daylight is absolutely essential for our sanity and of course your safety. Our check in time is between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. Please confirm your arrival time with us at time of booking.
If you know in advance that you arrival time will be after 6pm please advise a member of the team at
the time of booking so this fee can be applied to your booking in advance. There is a late check in fee of €20 which will be deducted from your Security Deposit for all guests arriving after 6pm.
If you should you be delayed for any reason, please call us on 041 988 4861 or 085 132 7433.
What to expect on arrival… It's worth mentioning now, so that you have time to plan and prepare, a glamping experience is
different from a hotel experience! From the moment you enter the farm and drive through the gates
into Rock Farm, to loading up the wheel barrow with your luggage and trundling off through the field, it is a unique experience unlike that of a hotel, B&B or even a cottage holiday.
As you drive through the main farm gates into the farmyard you will follow the track all the way up
past a small bungalow on your right. Keep driving to the top and bear right at the farm sheds following the track down you will see Slane Castle in the distance to your right. Park by the gates.
We will welcome you and direct you up to the campsite, check you in – and take you around the site
to show you where and how the facilities work.
Getting your luggage to your accommodation…
As part of your glamping experience, wheelbarrows are provided for you to take your luggage from your car to the accommodation, please bear this in mind when packing! Cars may be driven to the
gate and parked in designated areas only. You might need to make a few trips but we thank you in
advance for your cooperation.
In the interests of health and safety and as a courtesy to other guests we kindly ask you not to drive your car into the fields. Cars may be parked in our designated car park at the risk of the owner.
Please do not leave valuables on display and ensure that your vehicle is secure before leaving it. The
same goes for not leaving any valuables inside your accommodation. Rock Farm Ecotourism is not responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged during your stay.
