Hack-a-thon being the highlight of this summit is being organized as a pre-event for the coding geeks to participate for 30 straight hours day and night. 100 coders of 20 teams participated in the event. Aim of the Hack-a-thon is to solve problems. We have approached IT companies of Ahmedabad and identified 10 problems. We gave the problems to engineering students. We gave freedom to students teams to solve problems they have. Centre given chance for resubmitting 6 cities plan by April 15

The Chief Ministers of opposition-ruled states such as Uttar Pradesh,

Himachal Pradesh and including Nitish Kumar of Bihar, had blamed the

Centre for ignoring in the selection of these state cities in the list of top 20

smart cities.

The Ministry of Urban Development recently set up a panel of experts and

found gaps in smart city proposals from these opposition-ruled state cities

which missed out from the list of 20 smart cities under smart city project.

Finally, the Centre has given a one more chance to make its positions in
