S A F E T Y P R O C E D U R E S

Pinseer Safety Regulations

The head mechanic must teach all personnel who will workon the pinseer enough about the machine to preventaccidents through ignorance.

Always open the pinseer circuit breaker or disconnectthe pinseer power plug from the electrical box beforeworking on the machine.

When the pinseer shuts itself o electrically, be sureto open the circuit breaker and disconnect the pinseerpower plug from the electrical box before looking for, andclearing, the cause of the jam.

Always reach over or around the machine assemblies,never through or between the shas, arms and levers.

Use the appropriate rods to securely lock the rakecompression spring guide tube before maintaining therake or deck.

The desk person must never turn on a machine from themanagers control desk without rst making sure that noone is working on the machine.

Position the rake in its down position when working on thefront of the machine to prevent being hit by a bowling ball.

When more than one person is working on the machines,never turn on a machine without checking to see ifeveryone is clear of the machine.

Under no circumstances allow an unqualied person towork on the pinseer.

Safety Tips & General Safety RegulationsFollowing basic safety procedures can help avoid

injury. As with all machinery, there is an element ofrisk working on the pinseer if the rules of safetyare disregarded. Common sense, a knowledgeof pinseers and a knowledge of basic safetyprocedures will prevent injury to personnel workingon the machines.

Wear the proper clothing whenworking on the pinseer. Dont wearneckties or loose clothing that mayget caught in the machine. Wearpants without cus to prevent

tripping. Wear shoes with safety,non-slip soles.

Use the right tool for each job toprevent injury to yourself and to themachine. Remove all tools from thepinseer before turning it on.

Avoid the use of cleaners that aretoxic.

To prevent slipping, immediatelywipe up any oil or liquids that havespilled.

Store oily rags and any othercombustibles in a reproofcontainer.

When the safety guards areremoved from the pinseer, beextra cautious while the pinseeris turned on. Replace the guardsimmediately when the work iscomplete.
