1. Use some type of lubricant to ease the joining of the angle posts and beams.2. Use a cloth or wood block to protect the surface finish of the product when using a hammer.3. Rivets must seat at the bottom of the keyhole slot. Hitting the flat section of Z-

beam assists. 4. Assemble the unit on a sturdy and level surface. Avoid assembly on carpet.5. Load small stable items on the top shelves, heavier and bulkier items should be

stored on the lower shelves.

ATTENTIONStorage Rack is not recommended for outdoor use. The particle board decks should be sealed with a

water proof sealant or paint when used in humid environment to prevent mold.

Step 1 - End Assembly

Step 2 - Primary Unit Assembly

Start the End Assembly by joining an 18" Z-beam into the two bottom keyholes of a 36" angle post.Install the Z-beam in the upright position (refer to details). Drive the rivets to the bottom of the key-hole by hitting the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet locking the pieces together. Repeat by adding a second 36" angle post creating an End Assembly.

Assemble a 48" Z-beam to the bottom two keyholes of the End Assembly. Assure all Z-beams areassembled in the upright position. Hit the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet to lock piecestogether. Add an additional 48” Z-beam, two 18” Z-beams and two 36” angle posts to the assembly. Follow the order 1st through 5th shown in the drawing to facilitate the assembly. Note: Hit the beams near the joints to lock the pieces into place.

Step 4 - Add-On Unit End Assemblies.

Step 5 - Completing the Add-On UnitComplete the Add-On Unit by adding two 48"Z-beams at the top keyholes of the angleposts. Insert two 48" Z-beams into the 7th

and 8th keyholes from the bottom of theangle posts (refer to detail). Install the Z-beams in the upright position. Hit the beamsnear the joint with a rubber mallet to lockjoints into place.

Start by assembling two 36" angle post andtwo 18" Z-beams. Install all Z-beams in theupright position. Assemble the first 18" Z-beam into the top two keyholes of the angleposts. The second 18" Z-beam must beassembled at the 7th and 8th keyholes fromthe bottom of the angle posts. Hit the beam near the joints with a rubbermallet to lock pieces together.Repeat for the opposite end assembly.

Step 6 - Shelf DecksAt this step you should have bothframes assembled. Lay the shelfdecks in upon the Z-beams (referto details below). Be sure all theZ-beams are assembled in theupright position.

To secure the frames together align the the four middleangle posts of the frames (refer to details). Start withthe two back middle angle posts. Align the indents onthe Post Clips and two keyholes of the back middle angleposts. Firmly clamp together a Post Clip and the twoangle posts (refer to detail on right). Repeat step toclamp the two front middle angle posts.Note: To remove Post Clips use a screwdriver.

Step 7 - Joining the Frames (Optional Step)

Step 1 - Bottom End Assembly

Step 2 - Bottom Frame Assembly

Assemble a 48" Z-beam to the bottom two keyholes of the End Assembly. Assure all Z-beams areassembled in the upright position. Hit the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet to lock piecestogether. Add an additional 48” Z-beam, two 18” Z-beams and two 36” angle posts to the assembly. Follow the order 1st through 5th shown in the drawing to facilitate the assembly. Note: Hit the beams near the joints to lock the pieces into place.

Start the Top End Assembly by joining an 18" Z-beam into thetop two keyholes of two 36" angle posts. Assure the Z-beam isin the upright position. Hit the beam near the joints to lockpieces together (refer to details). Repeat step for the oppositeside Top End Assembly.

Before joining the Top End Assembly to theBottom Frame Assembly insert Post Inserts intothe angle posts on the Bottom Frame Assembly(refer to detail above). Assemble the Top EndAssembly on to the Post Insert (refer to detailbelow).Repeat step for the opposite Top End Assembly.

GRZ 8460-5 REINFORCING STORAGE RACK

Add a 18” Z-beams to mid section at the joint asshown below. Insert the top rivet of the Z-beaminto the bottom keyhole of the Top End Assembly.Insert the bottom rivet of the Z-beam into the topkeyhole of the Bottom Frame Assembly. Install allZ-beams in the upright position.

Step 5- Reinforcing Mid Section

Step 6- Reinforcing Top Section

Add two additional 48” Z-beams to top two keyholesof the angle posts (see details). Install the Z-beamsin the upright position. Assure to have the rivets inthe keyholes before hitting the beams near the jointsto lock the pieces together.

Repeat step to add anadditional 18” and two48” Z-beams.

Step 7 - Shelves Assemble the remaining 18" and 48" Z-beamsto your desired location on the angle post tocreate two additional shelves. Assure to installthe Z-beams in the upright position (seedetail). Hit the beams near the joints to lockpieces together.

Step 8 - Shelf DecksLay the shelf decks in between the Z-beams(refer to detail below). Assure the Z-beamsare assembled in the upright position (seedetail above).
