From the delicious food selections to the samplings of their grapes, you will have an amazing adventure. Broad Run Cheese and Swiss Heritage Winery is a great way to begin your day with purchases of cheese and wine to enjoy. Next you will visit Baltic Mill for samples of their awesome Peach chardonnay!

A buffet lunch will be served at Raven’s Glenn Winery with a tour and tasting as well! Your last stop of the day you will enjoy watching the Alpacas graze while sampling wine at the Yellow Butterfly Winery.

DECK THE HALLS Thursday and Friday November through December

Travel with Coach USA to Ohio, where you will meet your guide and tour the interesting city of Akron. Donzelles’ Greenhouse will be your next stop featuring dozens of decorated trees, greenery, holiday ornaments, and a very festive Poinsettia room. An early dinner will be served at Papa Joe’s in the Valley. Papa Joe’s is a family owned and operated Akron icon eatery! The Deck the Halls Event at Stan Hywet Mansion and Grounds will be your final stop of the day. Enjoy touring the fabulous mansion built by Goodyear Tire baron, Frank Seiberling. Depart for Cleveland’s fabulous West Side Market in the Ohio City District. Enjoy lunch at CROP (Creative Restaurant Operations Platform) rated number one in the city of Cleveland, located in a beautiful restored bank building across from the market. SWISS DELIGHTS Travel to the Dover, OH area and the David Warther Museum. David Warther II is the grandson of the master carver Mooney Warther of Swiss descent. Listen as he tells the history of the sailing ship. The second stop is the Chalet in the Valley for a fondue appetizer and Swiss buffet. Next, you will travel to the Village of Sugarcreek to view the world’s largest cuckoo clock and see the Swiss murals on the storefronts. Here you will have free time to visit the village shops. ACADEMY THEATER OF MEADVILLE In December of 1885, Ernest P. Hempstead presented the Academy of Music to the people of Meadville. This “splendid temple of amusement” was designed by architect J. M. Wood. From the time it opened, the Academy Theatre housed local productions and hosted touring vaudeville shows. In the early 1900s it began showing films, and through 1980, it was known mostly as a movie theater. After a fire in the mid-80s, a group of citizens came together to save the ailing building. These Friends of the Academy restored the theatre to its original beauty and since then it has regained its status as Meadville’s home for all varieties of artistic and cultural events. You are in store for a delightful experience!

BOXCAR ESCAPADES ON HORSESHOE

CURVE Board Amtrak’s, The Pennsylvanian at Johnstown Train Station. Ride the train to Altoona, PA around the famous Horseshoe Curve. Then travel by coach to Boyer’s Candy Outlet, home of the Mallow Cup. Visit Horseshoe Curve Visitor Center and Benzel’s Pretzel Outlet. Enjoy lunch, then a stop at the Railroader’s Memorial Museum. Travel to Jamestown, NY where you will board the Chautauqua Belle for a cruise along the Chadakoin River. Enjoy a barbeque lunch while cruising on the river before arriving at the National Comedy Center. This is the first state-of the art museum dedicated to telling the vital story of comedy in America. The museum celebrates comedy’s great minds and unique voices from Charlie Chaplin to Dave Chappelle. You will have plenty of time to explore the exhibit before heading home.



CHAUTAUQUA INSTITUTION Sundays only in July and August

Travel to Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY. A plated lunch will be served at the famous Athenaeum Hotel. Spend the afternoon browsing and shopping at The Arts & Craft Festival or Art in the Park. Here you will find more than 60 artists and craftspeople participating to display their paintings, jewelry, pottery, carvings, and other works. Enjoy a leisurely walk throughout the beautiful grounds of Chautauqua. Capture the scenery and memories as you board the Chautauqua Belle and cruise from Chautauqua to Mayville, NY.

HISTORIC ZOAR VILLAGE April – October

Travel to Ohio to learn about the Erie Canal Way with stories presented by interpretive guides. Historic Zoar Village was the construction team that hand dug the canal from Cleveland to Dover, OH. Walk on the original Canal Way (.6 mile) that will lead to lunch at Canal Tavern of Zoar. After a delicious lunch, you will visit Historic Roscoe Village Visitors Center. Enjoy a short, 15-minute video or a make a “back-in-the-day” craft. See what it is like to live for a day in the mid-1800’s! You will enjoy a leisurely ride on the Monticello III Canal Boat for one and a half-mile of the reconstructed portion of the Ohio and Erie Canal Way. What an exciting day!

Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House which will be your next stop of the day. Next, visit the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum. This former railroad hub and National Historic Landmark will help you travel back in time to

FARM TO TABLE AGRI-TOUR Wednesday Only June - October

Travel to Ohio to an Amish Farm and have a behind-the-scenes tour of a working Amish produce farm. You will learn about the various techniques used to sustain and extend the growing season. Enjoy a sit-down lunch with the Amish family and learn the customs of preparing a meal without the use of modern technology while your group enjoys a homemade lunch that is sure to please. A tour and tasting will be at OV Harvest, who offer a wide range of extra virgin and flavored olive oils as well as aged balsamic vinegars. End your day with a gourmet meal using fresh produce and meats sourced from the market vendors at the Schoenbrunn Conference Center.

Travel to Jamestown, NY, hometown of Lucille Ball, where you will have a wonderful luncheon at the Tropicana Room, modeled after Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan night club. Following lunch, enjoy a driving tour of Jamestown to see the famous sites from Lucy’s past. You will also have the opportunity tour the Desi-Lucy Museum and Desilu Studios. Your international tour is just a short drive away! Enjoy the cheese nibbles or sangria sampling at Broad Run Cheesehouse and Swiss Heritage Winery. AMERICA’S HEROES In the morning you will pay your respects at the Flight 93 National Memorial, including the Memorial Plaza with the Wall of Names of the Heroes of Flight 93, the Visitor Center and the Tower of Voices. Each tour member will receive a commemorative magnet “Remember the Heroes of Flight 93.” Enjoy lunch at Our Coal Miners’ Café. In the afternoon your spirits will soar as you visit the Quecreek Mine Rescue site where on July 28, 2002 nine miners were miraculously rescued from 240 feet beneath the earth in a farmer’s field just outside of Somerset. Hear of the events from the time the accident occurred until the last miner was brought to the surface. The rescue site has been developed into a beautiful garden and Educational Visitor Center. Here you will see the actual rescue capsule, the broken drill bit, and many more artifacts from the Quecreek rescue while learning about mining in general as you tour the Visitor Center. Your last stop will be the Flight 93 Memorial Chapel, which was dedicated on the first anniversary of 9/11 to honor God and the memory of the 40 heroes of Flight 93. In the chapel you see many moving mementos donated by family members and others who wish to honor the heroes. Hearts are touched as you visit the chapel and the Flight 93 Crew Monument in the garden area behind the chapel.

CHRISTMAS IN THE LAUREL

HIGHLANDS Available Thanksgiving through New Years

Connellsville has a new and amazing site for you to enjoy! Harry Clark’s HO Scale Model Railroad display is one of the most incredibly built model railroads you will ever see. The railroad is located in the Connellsville Canteen, a recreated B & O Train Station that commemorates the women who served the troops on trains passing through during WWII. Next to the Canteen and Train Display you find ArtWorks Connellsville, a unique gallery featuring artwork and various crafts of local artists. Next, is a stop at Colebrook’s Chocolates where you may try delicious samples. You will enjoy a light snack at Craftique Collections in Greensburg. Following this, will be a walk through Greensburg’s Ramada Hotel Parade of Trees where local businesses decorate the trees and you vote for your favorites. Located in the restored train station is DiSalvo’s Station Restaurant where you will enjoy dinner. The last stop of the day will be Overly Country Christmas with more than a million lights. There will be time for the bonfire, train display and shopping.

Begin your day at the Big Mac Museum in Irwin, where you will meet your local step-on guide. Day 1: There is no better way to explore some remote areas of West Virginia than by rail. You will head south to Elkins, WV to depart on a four-hour excursion aboard the New Tygart Flyer. Ride the Loon Gondola to the top of Loon Mountain for spectacular fall-foliage views. Next learn about Franconia Notch State Park with a stop at the Visitor’s Center and the

Basin. At the Basin, you will take a short nature walk on a paved path to a natural rock pot hole, shape of a basin, filled with water. Your next two nights will be on Ogunquit Beach in southern Maine.

Day 5: You will enjoy the splendor of Maine and its seacoast towns. Today’s activities will include a tour of York Village, York Beach, York Harbor & Cape Neddick for a photo stop at the “Nubble Light”. Then it’s onto Kennebunkport. Drive by the Bush’s summer home and the sea captain’s mansions. Time to dine, explore, shop, and browse in Dock Square. Experience the thrill of a lobster cruise that only the true lobstermen know! QUILTING ACROSS VIRGINIA September 29-October 5, 2019

Day 1: Arrive in Harrisonburg in time for lunch before heading over to the Virginia Quilt Museum. Patchwork Plus in Dayton is Virginia’s largest quilt shop. Stay the night in Dayton and enjoy a dinner in this quaint town.

Day 2: You will travel to the Queen City of the Shenandoah Valley- Staunton. With a guided walking tour you may visit some of these local textile artists: Appalachian Piecework, Artful Gifts, Sunspots Studios or the Trinity Episcopal Church for lovers of stained glass. After lunch (on own) head over to the American Shakespeare Center’s Blackfriars Playhouse and have a behind-the-scenes look behind, on and under the stage. Dinner will be at one of the local restaurants.

Day 3: Travel to Virginia Beach for Quilting Week. You will embark on a “Welcome to Virginia Beach” riding tour with a local guide. Get to know the coastal city and see the historic Cape Henry Lighthouse and the spot where the English colonists first landed in 1607! Dinner will be served at Rockefeller’s, one of Virginia Beach’s landmark restaurants.

Day 4: Spend the day at the Virginia Beach Quilt Show! Take your time to soak in the quilting magic! In the evening, dinner will be at Waterman’s, with a beautiful waterfront setting.

Day 5: Depart for a Dolphin Watching Boat Cruise. Lunch will be at a favorite local sandwich shop. Then, show your creativity at the Mermaid Factory by painting your own mermaid. Journey to the Thoroughgood House, one of the oldest surviving brick homes in the country. Travel back to 1812 for tea and refreshments with Mrs. Land at the Francis Land House. Dinner is on own, followed by a chocolate and wine tasting at the Royal Chocolate.

Day 6: Spend the morning in quilter’s paradise at the Virginia Beach Quilt Show. Depart in the afternoon with your guide to go to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Next embark on a Norfolk Riding Tour, a visit to the Chrysler Museum of Art, and dinner at Freemason Abbey, a pub-style restaurant located in a restored church.

Day 7: Depart for home with fond memories of the quilt show and your time in Coastal Virginia.

TO THE MOON AND BACK Day 1: Journey to Wapakoneta, OH – home of Neil Armstrong. Next, you will have a guided tour of the Armstrong Air and Space Museum to learn about the first man on the moon followed by a city tour of the area that Neil Armstrong called home. Day 2: Arrive for a tour of the Airstream Factory. These luxury travel trailers are custom assembled, and the Apollo 11 Astronauts spent several days in in NASA’s Mobile Quarantine facility with a converted airstream travel trailer. AMERICAN PRIDE Day 1: Travel to Columbus, OH to learn how to make Whoopie Pie at Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies. Visit the National Veterans Memorial Museum, the only place where the stories of veterans, their families and the Fallen will be told together. After checking in to your hotel, dinner will be at the 94th Aero Squadron, which is perched on the runway at the Columbus Airport.

Day 2: After a full breakfast you will go to one of the top 12 military museums in the country – Motts Military Museum! This museum encompasses all periods of military history with all countries in which the United States has been involved. Next, tour the Flag Lady, and learn how Mary Leavitt started selling the USA flag from the trunk of her car. Relish in an “All American” lunch at Der Dutchman. Vane Scott III tells the story of how our flag came to be during “The Many Faces of Old Glory.” End your day with a tour of Phoenix Bat to learn the process of creating a great bat before heading back to Pittsburgh.

GROUP LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Only the Group Leader should be communicating with Coach USA Tours. 2. Prior to trip, discuss with your Product Developer where meal (or rest) stop(s) will be made. 3. When the motor coach arrives, introduce yourself to the Driver. 4. Check off passengers from your list as they board the motor coach. 5. Discuss with the Driver where the meal or rest stop(s) will be. 6. When all passengers are seated, introduce yourself and the Driver to the group using the

microphone. 7. Pass out EMERGENCY CONTACT FORMS and explain why you are asking for this information,

and that it is completely voluntary on their part. 8. At each stop, it is the responsibility of the Group Leader to count passengers as they reboard the

coach. 9. Anything (flyers, maps, etc.) that is to be distributed to the passengers is to be done by the Group

Leader. 10. Please keep in mind, that the Driver is there strictly to drive the motor coach and to help the

passengers on and off the motor coach.

GROUP BENEFITS Group Leaders are very important to us! When you become a group leader and reserve tours through our tour department, this is what applies to groups.

1. Motor coach transportation is included in all tours 2. Tour pricing is based on a minimum of 30 paid passengers. Tours with less than 30 paid

passengers are available but the price per person will increase. 3. Wheelchair accessible coaches are available. (Keep in mind a wheelchair takes up 4 seats when

taking reservations for your tour. You will lose 4 seats. Two wheelchairs can be put on the coach at one time. You will lose 8 seats).

4. Complimentary Policy: 5. With 30 paid passengers the 31st passenger is complimentary. 6. With 40 paid passengers the 41st and 42nd passengers are complimentary. 7. On Multi-Day Tours the complimentary packages are based on the double occupancy rate. 8. Travel Insurance is available on all tours. To be eligible for the waiver of pre-existing medical

condition exclusion, the protection plan must be purchased within 15 days from the time you make your initial trip deposit and for the prepaid non-refundable payments or deposits. If purchased, the insurance premium is refundable during the 15 day review period, unless you have filed a claim or departed on your trip. 9. Reservations/Payments: Reservations cannot be made without the signed contract and required deposit. The Balance is due no late than the date listed on the contract. Without rooming list, they have the option of cancelling the rooms.

POLICY PAGE Reservations/Payments A reservation CANNOT be made without the required deposit listed on the tour contract. The BALANCE is due no later than the date listed on the contract. If payment is not received in a timely manner, it may result in cancellation of your tour. Payment in full is due 30 days prior to travel.

Refund Policy Travel insurance is available on all multi-day tours and must be purchased on the initial deposit with the group leader. Insurance is through Travelex Insurance. Insurance premiums go into effect upon purchase and are non-refundable.
