Hindu Classified AdThe Hindu belief is that gods or divinities can take many forms, but all form one

universal spirit called Brahman. The three most important representations of Brahman are Brahma, the creator of the universe, Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, and Shiva, the destroyer of the universe.

Hinduism has been called the "oldest religion" in the world and some practitioners refer to it as Sanātana Dharma, "the eternal law" or the "eternal way” beyond human origins.

Karma & RebirthA common theme to theories of karma is its principle of causality. One of the earliest

association of karma to causality occurs in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad of Hinduism. The second concept of karma is easily known that if a person performs a good action, something good happens to them. It is the same that if they do something bad, something bad will happen to them. The third theme of karma theories is the concept of reincarnation or rebirth (saṃsāra). Rebirth is a fundamental concept of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. The concept has been intensely debated in ancient literature of India; with different schools of Indian religions considering the relevance of rebirth as either essential, or secondary, or unnecessary fiction.

Caste System Brahmins are the priests in Hinduism. Kshatriyas are the warriors in the Hindu

religion. Next, vaishyas are merchants or landowners. These three are the groups that are reborn and get to live a second life. Next are the Shudras, these are generally servants. last are the untouchables who are out of caste or subordinates.

Buddhism News ArticleAbout 2500 years ago, a prince named Siddhartha Gautama began to question

his sheltered, luxurious life in the palace. He left the palace and saw four sights: a sick man, an old man, a dead man and a monk. These sights are said to have shown him that even a prince cannot escape illness, suffering and death. The sight of the monk told Siddhartha to leave his life as a prince and become a wandering holy man, seeking the answers to questions like "Why must people suffer?" "What is the cause of suffering?" Siddartha spent many years doing many religious practices such as praying, meditating, and fasting until he finally understood the basic truths of life. This realization occurred after sitting under a Popular-fig tree in Bodh Gaya, India for many days, in deep meditation. He gained enlightenment, or nirvana, and was given the title of Buddha, which means Enlightened One.

✶Fun Facts✶ Buddhism is a religion to about 300 million people around the world. The word

comes from 'budhi', 'to awaken'. It has its origins about 2,500 years ago when Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, was himself awakened (enlightened) at the age of 35.

Full moon day is a sacred day, especially the Buddha Poornima, the birthday of Buddha, also the day of his enlightenment and Death (Nirvana and  Parinirvana).

Purpose of Life is to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death which is the cause of suffering.

Tripitaka (3 baskets) is considered the most important text of Buddhism, it has 3 volumes:  Sutta Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka and Abhidhamma Pitaka.

Siddhartha Gotama was born into a royal family in Lumbini, now located in Nepal, in 563 BC. At 29, he realised that wealth and luxury did not guarantee happiness, so he explored the different teachings religions and philosophies of the day, to find the key to human happiness. After six years of study and meditation he finally found 'the middle path' and was enlightened. After enlightenment, the Buddha spent the rest of his life teaching the principles of Buddhism called the Dharma, or Truth until his death at the age of 80.
