"All those trials and tribulations were like in a dream: the logistics, the long distances, polar bears, collapsing icebergs, inflatable boats, luggage and most of all, the constant uncer-tainty about what was coming next. Somehow we got through every challenge and made it. we set off by inflatable boat from Constable Point and navigated 150 km east-ward through icebergs, from where we could already see the distinctive pinnacle. we set up our base camp there and then made the 2-hour trek on foot as far as the base of the big wall on Grundtvigskirken, each of us carrying 35kg of luggage."
