One of my goals for this year is to helpyour child become a life-long learner. Ihope to develop students who are notafraid to ask questions and search forthe answers. I am looking forward to another

    wonderful year working with your

children. This will be my fifteenth

year at Greystone and my fourteenth as

an enrichment teacher. I can honestly

say that I have a fantastic job and am

blessed to work with amazing kids,

    supportive families, and a dynamic

    faculty. I also have a great co-teacher

for enrichment. Mandy and I work

together really well and have skills that

    complement each other. (shes the

    techno-wizard and Im the organizer!)

Before I came to Greystone, I taught

sixth grade science and language arts

in Jacksonville, Florida for six years. I

have a bachelors degree in Elementary

    Education from Florida State

University and a masters in Gifted and

    Talented Education from the

University of Alabama. I am also a

    National Board Certified Teacher.

My husband, Joel, is an architect. We

have been married for nine years andbetween the two of us we have six

    grown children. We have two

grandsons and 8 grand-dogs. We also

have two little kittens, Max and

    Abbey! We enjoy reading, movies,

    gardening, and traveling.

It is a privilege to work with the

enrichment students. I know that these

leaders of tomorrow will not learn allthey need to know in school. Knowing

how to access information, how to

    discern which information is

appropriate, and what to do with that

information are skills they will need

throughout their lifetime. It is my

desire to use the units of study that we

offer to help them accomplish this task
