  • GREETING FROM THE CHEF

Welcome to 3rd Annual North Lake Shore Earth Day Celebration!

Loyola University Chicago together with the communities of Andersonville, Edgewater, Lincoln Square, Uptown, Ravenswood, and Rogers Park have joined forces around a singular issue: our environment. Our mission is to inspire you to cook up a Recipe for a Healthy Planet and learn what you can do to seek and advocate for healthy, sustainable and affordable food options in your local com-munity. Through this event, we will provide community members with a better understanding of the complex issues surrounding food production, availability

    and its global implications.

We hope you will leave feeling empowered to advocate for potential policy changes at both a local and national level that will protect our natural resources

and reduce energy consumption. We hope you will leave inspired to incorporate greener-living practices in your homes and businesses and become a champion in the efforts to share what you have learned with others in your community. We sincerely hope we are successful in our planning to achieve these goals and we

extend our warmest thanks to you for coming. Enjoy the Day!

    Summur Roberts, Event Coordinator
