Dear participants of the 35th International Summer Camp, dear Shinson Hapkido family, dear friends We are very pleased that our 35th International Summer Camp will be held this year in the beautiful Swiss landscape of Ibach/Schwyz. We want to combine the summercamp motto: "Holidays and recreation for the whole family, health and fitness, international encounters and cultural exchange" with the motto of the year 2019: „Only the heart that lets go completely can become one with Do. Nur ein Herz, das alles loslässt, kann Eins mit Do werden. Ho Shim Hap Do – Il Shim Dae Do.“

When we practice this and empty and cleanse our heart, we can reach Do which is the greatest Do. When we look inside and are honest with ourselves, we can get rid of everything that is superfluous, including the garbage that we have stored inside us. In that way our body and mind become lighter and our heart can shine again. Then we can apply the summer camp call to our whole life:

Himcha-gee! Julgeb gee! Jaemiitt-gee! Kraftvoll voller Freude und mit Spaß! Powerful Joyful with Pleasure!

I am very grateful and glad that we can enjoy life with Shinson Hapkido in a simple way; that we can be satisfied with less and are grateful for the wealth that nature, people and Do give us. So we can let go of our greed, open our hearts and minds and receive these gifts. This is what I would like to share with you. We would like to thank the committed organisation team with the leader Sabomnim Marcel Mayer, the local Dojang leader, Busabomnim Gisela Tschan (Schwyz) and all Black-Belts, students and relatives who have assumed the work and responsibility in order to ensure that the event will run smoothly. We are deeply thankful for the support and goodwill of the citizens of Ibach and the surrounding area. We would also like to thank the responsible authorities in the municipality of Schwyz, above all the municipal president Xaver Schuler. We would like to thank Mr. Strüby and Bruno Ulrich, who are responsible for the Wintersried sports grounds. A big thank-you goes to the farmers Mr. Limacher, Mr. Horat, Mr. Ulrich and Mr. Rickenbacher, who make their land available for the campsite. Thank you very much for all your support. This year we will renew our promise "We will leave the place cleaner than we found it", so that we not only live in harmony with people, but also in harmony with nature and all living beings (Hongíg Ingan Sasang philosophy: Living for the good of man and nature, doing good). With this we also show our respect and gratitude for the permission to use this beautiful place.


On Thursday 1st August (Swiss National Day), the International Benefit Shinson Hapkido Show will take place at 5 pm. The revenue of the show will be donated to Casa Verde/Peru (street children project) and to the regional social project Haus Magdalena (house for women and children in need). We ask for all your support so that our social commitment can continue. Shinson Hapkido's dedication to "sharing with each other" is not only a way of training but also a set goal to express in our everyday lives. In order to support people in need we rely on your help. Without your interest and your participation, this is not possible. Let us send a lot of Ki to the Swiss Shinson Hapkido family and the event, because with our joint work we also express our gratitude for life. Chon-Jie-In-Movement (CJI-Undong) stands for: Movement - heaven and earth and all humans (living beings) are one. We will continue on this path together. In Kyok Suyang - Inkyok Doya - Inkyok Wansong is means: Train humanity - spread humanity - achieve humanity. I look forward to meeting you all in person at the Summer Camp. In summer 2019, the international summer camp will take place for the 5th time in Switzerland. The association Shinson Hapkido Schwyz organizes the annual camp, whose participants are children, teenagers, adults and seniors. I warmly welcome the approximately 800 participants from all over the world to our country. I welcome the principles of the Shinson Hapkido teaching method, which combine traditional self-defense with philosophy and naturopathy. Shinson Hapkido aims to promote health, self-confidence, enjoyment of life and to spread humanity while showing interested people a holistic philosophy of life. I would like to thank the responsibles of Shinson Hapkido Schwyz association and all helpers for their great commitment. I wish them and the participants from near and far unforgettable encounters and enriching trainings. May everyone be able to return to everyday life with many positive impressions and experiences from the summer camp 2019.

Further information Meals In the community tent we offer all participants a balanced and healthy food supply from freshly prepared food at moderate prices. Breakfast is varied. At lunchtime and in the evening there is a choice of two menus (meat & vegan). Fresh salads complete the offer. In addition, fine coffee and sweet cakes await you at any time. Special: The evening catering on Friday 26th July is guaranteed. Please support the summer camp by not bringing drinks and food to the community tent, but buying it there. Cutlery and crockery Please bring your own cutlery and dishes. The organizers do not provide cutlery and crockery. Table and bench sets A range of table sets are available. Please make your reservation by the official registration deadline. Costs for the camp week: 50 Euro plus 50 Euro deposit (reservations at [email protected] or with registration). Waste separation - Ökihof We ask each Dojang to appoint a recycling officer. This person will be trained by us and will help with the garbage disposal. First meeting for recycling officers: Saturday, 27 July, 11.45 a.m. at the camp's own waste and recycling center (Ökihof). Evening of entertainment and international music festival Please prepare great contributions for the entertainment and music festival, so that we can celebrate these evenings! Kindergarten During the training periods, there is a childcare service for children from 3 to 5 years. Children under the age of 3 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Meeting for parents with children under 5 years: Friday, 26 July, 18.00 at the kindergarten. Pets Pets are not allowed. There is a shelter in the nearby village of Seewen www.tierheim-burg.ch. Further possibilities for dogs can be found at www.hundepension.ch. Tent security For your safety, we would like to repeat this point : Please note that there may be strong gusts of wind in this area. Ensure stable tents and safe anchorage. Parking spaces/camper vans The parking area will be signposted and accessible during opening hours. Reception will assign spaces for campervans.


How to find us Train Your ideal connection can be found at www.sbb.ch: Train to Schwyz Bahnhof and walk to the camp or take the bus to "Ibach Eigenwies" or "Ibach Kirche/Ibach Erlen" to shorten the walking distance. Airplane Zurich-Kloten Airport (ZRH) is about 80 km from Ibach. Information for public transport

connections from Zürich-Kloten to Ibach: www.sbb.ch By car From Basel on N3 towards Zurich, continue on N4/E41 towards Lucerne - Gotthard,

Schwyz until exit N39: Schwyz, Pfäffikon, Sattel, Muotathal, Steinen (Exit N39): Turn right into Lauerzerstrasse towards Lauerz, Unterseewen. After 60 meters turn left.

Drive 150 metres, turn slightly right, along the road along the river. Continue on this road for approx. 1.6 km. The summer camp is on the left side of the road.

From exit Schwyz, Pfäffikon, Sattel (N39) the way is signposted. Attention: For the Swiss motorways you have to buy a road tax disc

(Autobahnvignette). The toll for vehicles and trailers is 40.00 CHF. Environmentally friendly journey We try to make the camp environmentally friendly and sustainable. Registration Shinson-Hapkido-Members Register with your Kyosanim in your Dojang. Submit the participation fee to the Dojang. It will be collected there for all of your dojang's registrations (Shinson Hapkido black belts and Kyosanim: Please provide your Dan degree and Ki.) Individuals / camp participants of other martial arts styles Send your registration to the organizer by the registration deadline and give your contact address. The participation fee will be paid at registration upon arrival. The registration is valid for the whole week. If you can only participate by the day, please note this on the registration form. We ask for your understanding that the participation fee is still to be paid for the whole week. The camp fee includes participation in the official training and weekly program (without benefit show), use of campground and infrastructure, pennant and certificate.
